The shoulders are padded.
There's weird tutu material in the shoulders. I pulled it under to stops them from looking padded, but beware. Otherwise very pretty dress. Also, the sizing is a little odd, like Australian or something. The tag said 6R but US 2, so take with that what you will.

Didn't end up wearing it.
Its cute and fits well but that slit is too high up for a work event which is what I wanted to wear it to. Would also be difficult to dance in with a slit that high.

The event theme was gold so this dress was perfect.
The dress is form fitting yet stretchy, so I think it'd fit a lot of people. For that reason, I'd actually recommend going a size down if you're on the fence. The back will show a bra band so you can't wear one. I'm pretty tall (6'0) and it wasn't too short.

The material is not quite as stretchy as you'd guess. It'd be a great dress for cocktails, not great for dancing.
