Cute but very small in upper rib cage / bust
Couldn't zip it up! I still wore it, because I'm stubborn, but I had to wear a jacket over the top. It seems like it's cut so that your waist and bust are the same size? (And mine nearly are! larger waist, smaller bust.) And in case you can't tell from the images, there are naked mermaids.

If you're sensitive to wool, don't get this! I didn’t wear it because I couldn’t stand it against bare arms. Maybe in the winter with a long-sleeve shirt, but this isn’t a winter sweater.

Ridiculous hemline
I read the reviews and knew in advance but thought it wouldn't be that bad. I felt so silly walking at work, taking the tiniest steps (and I am already fairly small). But the dress otherwise is cute and has an interesting shape.

The dress is cute and the fabric is nice, but it's quite large on top - so large that I felt uncomfortable wearing it even around the house, because it kept billowing out. You might want to consider sizing down if you have a smaller bust.

Beware of rash / irritation!
I was only able to wear this for an hour or two before I started to notice a really painful rash starting to form on the insides of both upper arms and near my inner elbows. The lining is just polyester, but maybe there are chemicals coming from the patent leather? Or maybe the dry cleaning materials + the lack of breathability? This has never happened to me before, and it really hurts! Aside from that, the jacket is a bit heavy, REALLY noisy, and it sticks to itself, so it makes it pretty uncomfortable to wear.

too long in torso
I couldn't wear this - I'm 5'3" and I must have a short torso based on how this fit. The smocked part fell to mid-butt, where it suddenly flared out wildly. I looked like I had a horse's rear! (And I have a pretty small butt.) The fabric is cute but was wrinkly. I can see how this would be lovely on a taller, more proportionate person. =)

fun for a work day
Fit around the waist is a bit tight, even considering that it's elastic. But it's a really fun skirt, flowy and bright. I'm on the shorter side at 5'3", but the length was a bit longer than expected (it was touching the ground at the longest points even with heels). Looking at the model picture, I must be super short for this to happen! Still highly recommend this skirt!

too small; couldn't wear
The dress is cute, but for some reason felt a little juvenile (maybe it reminded me of something I had as a teenager?) and didn't quite feel right for work. It was also quite small and the zipper was really difficult (even when I wasn't wearing the dress). Too tight around the rib cage, a bit too short. I got the XS, am 5'3" and 105 lbs, but I don't have a tiny waist. I'd suggest sizing up unless you have a proportionally small waist & rib cage.

beautiful dress with a bit of edge
The dress is gorgeous - I just wish it fit better. I am 5'3", 105 lbs, and the XS was WAY too big in the hips. I could grab the extra fabric at each hip and extend it several inches on both sides - it made the lower half look oddly drapey, and it should have been fitted with this style of dress. The top fit fine (and I am small-chested), although the sheer part at top is a little longer than it should be, so I kept pulling it up all night. The dress is beautiful, and I love the black detailing, but as other reviewers noted, it looks best after you spend some time flipping over the sequins, which is time-consuming and not that easy. Note: the side panels are sheer, so it would look best if worn with no bra or a nu-bra type bra.
