This coat is the GOAT! It has went with everything from high fashion to casual - it's that much of a transitional amazing piece. With the color blocking / slightly oversized style and the ability to pop the collar if need be - this coat has become a staple in my closest. My first choice was never delivered, UPS just decided to redeliver. Well I had to fly to GA the next day so that wouldn't work. RTR customer service were as usual, the bomb.com and delivered two backup dresses to my hotel. I wore the dress to a rehearsal dinner, it was an unexpected hit! It fit so well! It's silk, and made beautifully! I literally couldn't believe I looked that way in the dress. Very elegant but sexy. Hit right at the knee. The fit from the waist down, was perfect. The fit from the waist up...was interesting. I have a small bust, so I was able to wear the deep V just fine, however, the top the dress in the back, was too big. Perhaps it was made for someone with a long torso, either way, my hair covered up the buckling at the top. Also, the zipper, although it looks fabulous, is kind of cheap, in the sense, that it's hard to zip, not because you can't fit, but it takes some umf. Other than that, the dress was fabulous. I styled it ala Carrie from STTC the Paris episodes. Lace black tights, chunky gold necklace, and wavy hair. It all worked. Also, I should add, that my first rental did not fit when I received it on Friday the 28th, I hoped on the phone with a customer service agent, and we went through dress by dress until we found the perfect replacement. It arrived the next day at noon!

Rented this dress as backup to a dress I was expecting to come in the mail sooner, but ended up wearing the RTR dress instead. I am happy I did, it fit like a glove. I have a short torso, so there was some issue with the straps falling, but nothing too dramatic. I wore the dress out on the town in NYC, and no one wearing anything like it. I paired it with patent thick strap nude wedges, statement earrings and a bracelet. the belt was a little awkward at times, but I made it work.

I rented the size 4 and 6 - my measurements are 34 - 27 - 36 128lbs. The 4 fit better than the 6, but the bust was slightly large. I made it work, but def had to play with the straps the entire night. Length wise it hit right above the knee, very appropriate for the Gala I attended. Overall, great little black dress with a modern/classy twist.
