Cute little top to celebrate my birthday!
I received the order early enough to actually wear it twice. I think I styled it better the first day with my hair up so you can see the shoulders and ruffles. I also noticed that it's a shirt that doesn't necessarily keep it's shape over a long wear meaning it because slightly loose in the bust and below as the days went on. At the right price, I would actually buy this top just for funsies.

A little loose for my tastes but will fit wonderfully on a taller person; it's also a lovely color
I really wanted the dress to fit like the model, namely falling above the knee, but given my height, it was a bit long which made the cut a tad matronly when I think it was meant to be fun and breezy. Despite normally wearing a 22, this was a bit large in certain areas, especially around the bust. Lovely color, will fit better on taller leaner bodies (a weird sentiment for wrap dresses which normally flatter fuller figures really well).

Fabulous jumpsuit for a summer wedding!
The fit was lovely all around except for the top. I needed to pin the top to cover cleavage more because it cuts a bit low but such a small complaint to an overall gorgeous wear. I could dance and look glamorous all in one night.

Perfect L.A. fall outdoor wedding dress for twirling on the dance floor!
I loooooved this dress! October is still fairly warm in L.A., so this was the perfect combo of fall tones in a light materials that draped beautiful over the hips and allowed for maximum twirling action on the dance floor. Compliments all night long. It was a little right in the arms, but I carry a lot of weight there, so this is a common issue for me.

Hip-hugging, semi-mermaid tail flair for a classic look at the opera
This dress hugged all the right curves, slimming the waist and showing off the hips, which was also emphasized with a very subtle mermaid cut. I'm shorter so the dress extended down to the mid-calf, but be more right below the knee for taller gals. I wore this dress to the opera and loved the modernized vintage cut for a fresh and sexy look.

Minnie Mouse at work
So many co-workers and friends complimented this dress, but it's just not my personal style. I tend to like things more fitted, but I use Rent the Runway to try to new styles. The dropped waist and 30s-era polka dots just didn't resonate with me, but I can appreciate that I looked like an adorable Minnie Mouse. It was a completely appropriate dress for work. A little baggy through the chest as I'm solidly a 22-24 in the waist and hips which can sometimes leave me a bit saggy in the chest and arms on certain cuts.

Adorable clutch that received compliments all night!
I am not someone who knows designers and, if I'm being honest, cares all that much. If something looks good to me, it looks good. Well, clearly there are other people who know their designers because this bag was a hit with women at a casino night fundraiser who named dropped the brand and I was lost. It was adorable and easily paired with a variety of colors and styles.

Classic feminine beauty
I am not one for wearing what I consider super sweet girly dresses but RTR has become an outlet for me to push the boundaries of my own style. I rented this dress for the final opera of the season here in L.A. The weather has warmed and this dress spoke to me as a reflection of the sunshine and flowers that had finally arrived after a few rainy and gloomy months (very odd for this area). Other retro cuts from the '50s and '60s that I've ordered from RTR have been okay but reinforced that it was not really my personal style. I thought this dress would be more of the same feeling. Boy, was I wrong! THIS DRESS WAS GORGEOUS. It definitely has a 1950s feel to me with given the structure and slightly flared fit but somehow the designer had also made it feel updated. I felt so soft and feminine. The pink was a bit deeper then the pictures let on but a beautiful unobtrusive dewy pink. I received compliments from strangers all night. I loved it and would so buy this dress to own. Only downside in the cut is that there was a little extra room up top in the 24 because I don't have a large chest but I feared where the 22 would be too tight in the bodice. Such a small complaint for such a lovely dress.

Wearing a cape to the Magic Castle seemed quite appropriate!
What a fun outfit for a whimsical place such as the Magic Castle! Friends and I went for dinner and shows and the venue requires one to dress cocktail at MINIMUM. Loved being able to swirl about the place as those hiding my own magic secrets. The sheath dress was flattering but slightly more snug in the tummy that I had wanted, even with shapewear. Also, given that I'm only 5'3'', the cape went farther down on my body that the model and probably other more taller wearers of the dress. Such a fun outfit to step out of the box but still look incredibly glamorous.

Felt a little like a nightgown but that is because this was a new style for me - others may love it!
I use the opera as an excuse to dress up and try new styles. I never wear white because I am an absolute spill slob but wearing the dress made me extra dainty and careful. I joked with friends that I felt "Dramatic in Grandmother's Nightgown" or Bride of Frankenstein but make it fashion given that I paired the white with dark dramatic makeup. I received compliments all night including from the stranger sitting next to me at the show. A plus for the dress is that IT IS INCREDIBLE COMFY - it breathes, gives and allows full range of motion. Not a style that I'm used to but still an impressive hit with those around me. I rated it slightly lower only because of what I consider a dowdier style but plenty of women with different body shapes (especially if you're taller) can pull of this style with more confidence than me.

Beautiful navy night blue dress that flattered body-heavy curves on stage
I loved this dress. I wore it to perform in a show but could easily picture myself wearing it to work or a more casual outdoor wedding. it received endless compliments throughout the night. The tie at the waist accentuated my (mostly) hourglass figure. As you can see in the photo, the shape heavily emphasized how bottom-heavy I am which may make some self-conscious but I embraced for the evening. Highly recommend this versatile occasion dress. Beautiful color, light material, easy to dress up or down.

Felt glamorous at an opera matinee!
So thankful that jumpsuits have made a comeback! Nowadays, though, instead of the polyester flash of the 70s, jumpsuits are made with sophistication in mind. The navy blue was a lovely flattering tone and with the belt cinched, the jumpsuit hugged all the right places. I am considerably shorter than the model, so the outfit came down to right above my ankles (the model has the jumpsuit stopping right below her knees), but paired with my white mules, the length was totally fine. The front does open a bit and left me wishing I had pinned it since fashion tape didn't last long. I had originally ordered the 3x which is my typical size but given the stretchy, forgiving jersey material, a 2x fit better.

Rented this out for a night at the opera. Although I go alone, I love the opportunity to dress up and hob nob with the best of L.A. This dress fit right in - elegant, lovely color, beautiful length and well-fitted. I appreciate good tailoring at the waist with flow in the skirt to enhance my shape. Would definitely rent again.

Glitter mermaid dream
I rented this for my grad school winter formal. The dress was fun and well-fitted. I appreciated how it tapered at the waist to show curves but flared well for the skirt. Minor downside was that it was itchy in the underarm but nothing to prevent me from wanting to rent the same dress again in different colors. Really great cut for my full-figured frame.

Ran large and didn't have the backup the size to see if the 20WR was better.
The theme of my 32nd birthday was tiki which made this the ideal choice dress. Unfortunately, the 20RW was not available as a backup so when the 22RW arrived and it was too large, things just didn't work out. The area around the bust was far too big and sagged open at the armpits, revealing my breasts and the fit around the waist made me larger than I am (not good for an already big lady). Looking forward to trying this dress in the future with a smaller size.

Emerald green stunner that hugs the right curves but leaves room to dance
I have loved every single dress from this designer; she totally understands the curves and dips of the female body for which I can't thank her enough. This dress is comfy and always for a hearty wedding meal, pictures and dancing all night long while also hugging hips and breasts and thighs in the right places that results in tons of compliments. Jewel tones are perfect for my olive complexion. Can't get enough.

My best throwback impression of a '50s light attendant received a lot of compliments!
I rented this for funsies for work. I sort of felt like I was playing nostalgia dress up given how retro the cut is, very Pan Am flight attendant. I enjoyed the spearmint green color and the compliments that came. My only issue was the material felt a bit scratchy and I'm uncertain how often I would honestly wear this style. Still fun!

This is probably my most favorite dress that I have ever worn from Rent the Runway!!
I wore this as a part of my 32nd birthday celebrations which was a week long affair. The theme was tiki which had me renting dresses with flowers and shoulders - so much fun! I am short so I'm always a bit uncertain about long dresses but this dress was a great length, extenuated all my curves, gave a little peek of shoulders and was light and airy in the L.A. heat. I loved it, would own it and wish it was a part of my standard summer collection.

This true-to-size dress eventuated my waist and bust through some fit and flair. The color was flattering with my olive skin. Compliments were aplenty throughout the day. I'm short but paired with wedges the dress did not appear too long or dowdy. Loved it!

Not my favorite dress rented but part of that might have been my fault.
I ordered this dress for graduate from my master's program. White/off white is a color a lot of graduates at this school wear, so I was looking to follow suit. Generally, I love this designer for her dresses made from light breathable materials that hug all the right curves. The fabric of this dress was heavier than anticipated and kind of scratchy. The color was more beige than expected. I was a bit uncomfortable. I also didn't love the fit, but I also didn't wear shape wear, so my tummy wasn't smooth. Maybe I would have liked this dress better had I worn shape wear.

Look at those curves!
I wore this dress to a formal work gala and it was complimented all night. It's an understated sexy that hugged all the right places. I wore shape wear to smooth my tummy. Great length, even for a short woman. I have worn several dresses from this particular designer and continue to go back for more because they have been a hit every time.

Luscious blue color that is not well depicted in RTR's photo - this is a beautiful dress!
I think RTR's preview photo does not do this dress justice, almost making it look a bit dowdy. The blue was much richer in color in person. The fabric is incredibly light which was perfect for a hot and humid D.C. night full of sweaty dancing. I received compliments on this dress all night long. True to size and I gave a little extra cinch at the waist for showing the curves. I am short, so pairing it with shoes with height was important to me to elevate and make the dress wedding appropriate.

Fun and funky outfit to step out of my more traditional fashion box - a new jumpsuit convert!
I am more a jeans and t-shirt kinda gal for everyday wear and dresses for going out, but for my 31st birthday, I wanted to try something new and not traditional. A jumpsuit really fit the bill and I LOVED IT. I am so ready to rotate these into my wardrobe, including wearing one for a more casual wedding. It looked much sleeker than I anticipated, leaving me feeling cool and classy on the streets of Los Angeles. A few downsides: have breasts, but not the most ample bosom possible, the front was difficult for me to fill out and keep closed; I also wish that the jumpsuit came with instructions on how the loops at the waist were supposed to go. I think I got it right, but not positive.

Feel Gorgeous Glittering in Gold!
I rented this for a "Great Gatsby" themed party. I consistently wear a 22, but this was still tight across the tummy and initially showed off some rolls. I made a quick dash for a Target for a last-minute Spanx purchase. Spanx smoothed out the rolls and popped the booty, resulting in a gorgeous fitting and feeling dress. It was a a tad long for my 5'3'' figure, but that didn't stop the compliments from pouring in all night. It was seriously the hit dress of the night because it was classier than the standard flapper looks seen by most, but still on theme. One could easily wear this dress for a non-themed party. It's lovely.

Dressed for the "Roarin' 20s" in a perfectly themed dress! Lots of compliments all night!
Rented this dress for a "Roarin' 20s" themed party. The dress was the perfect style and length with the fringed bottom hitting right above the knees. The material felt a bit cheap against the skin, which accounts for the lesser star. Fit true to size at 22 and received a lot of compliments throughout the night. It's hard for me to imagine wearing this dress to a non-themed occasion.

This beautifully green dress received compliments all night!
I am so thankful that other reviewers said that the dress runs large because I would have normally rented a 20w and 22w, but instead rented the 18w and 20w. The 18w was the absolute perfect size. This dress is a stunning shade of green and was a lot of fun to wear. I received compliments all night, not just from my classmates at our department fall reception, but from strangers all over LA when our party made its way to a bar and later, a lounge. For me, the only downsides was that the it was a little longer than I would have liked- at 5'3'', something at mid-knee can look matronly at times, which I want to avoid at 29- and the sequins due scratch a bit underneath my armpits. But overall, this was a great dress for my first time using Rent the Runway and I'm already looking forward to trying another item in the future!
