I wore this dress for a Fabulous Forties themed event. Everyone loved it...even made the newspaper!! I had actually ordered a different dress, but realized after I placed the order that it didn't have a backup size anywhere close to what I needed. After searching through the website again, I saw this dress, called up RTR, explained the situation and the happily changed everything for me. I even saved a little money since this one was a little cheaper than the original order. Everything happens for a reason right? But onto the good stuff...This beautiful garment hugs your entire body, so if you aren't looking to show off your curves, this isn't the dress for you! Even though it hugs, the material is still stretchy enough that it's comfortable for an entire evening of dancing and food, and you can even sit in it. We all know we've had those dresses that look great while you're standing but you can't do anything else in it, including breathing...this is not one of those dresses. I usually wear a 2, but that size had an excess of material in the back, just above my bum (but this happens on alot of clothes for me). The material is a little bit heavy, but relatively speaking, alot lighter than I thought it was going to be with the lace. The length worked out perfectly for my 4+ inch shoes. It was long enough to just drag on the floor, but not so long that I tripped over it while walking. The color is fun, as it adds a little pop to the typical black dress. The only con I truly can think of is that, at least for me (and I have really long, bendy arms), it was kind of difficult to zipper on your own. Just have a partner handy. But that minor detail should in no way stop you from renting this amazing dress. You'll love it...and so will everyone else!!

For the most part, I loved this dress. Extremely classy and elegant, yet sexy! A few little things here and there that I noticed, but none of them should stop you from renting this beautiful dress! First, the lace around the shoulders is alot more tan than I could tell from the pictures...it's even hard to tell in my picture! Not a problem, just not exactly what I was expecting. Also the edges of the black lace going towards the back opening of the dress were flipped upwards and took some messing around with to get them to lay properly for the evening. But they eventually did. Having someone to help you button this baby would be a plus. I have long arms and it was still kind of difficult for me to get it done by myself. Finally the dress isn't heavy but it does have more material than I thought, and consequently can make you look a little hippy. But with that, it gives you a really nice hourglass shape! There is a lining layer then the actual dress material over top. I'm 5 feet 6 inches and got a long because I have relatively long legs for my height and I knew I was going to wear super high heels (they were 4+ inches). The 2L was the perfect length to give a little train effect. Overall it is a very gorgeous dress, and you'll get tons of compliments!!

There were a few reviews that said it ran large, which I would agree with. The size 2 wasn't available for the day I needed the dress, so I went with the 4R. The back gaped a little down near the bottom of the lace (right above your bum area). It wasn't that noticeable, and it gave me a little more room for food and drinks! The length was perfect. I wasn't aware that there was a sheer panel under the side and back cut outs (hard to see on the model on the website). It stuck out a little bit more on me, since I have darker skin, but it still worked out fine, especially since my pantyhose came up pretty high. Overall anyone I've showed pictures to has LOVED the dress, and I would definitely recommend it and RTR to anyone =)
