This is a slip and the overlay. The overlay is LONG LONG LONG. You need to wear high-heels that will make sure you are not stepping on the dress. Also - the overlay has snaps on the inside, at the shoulders, that keep the slip from moving around. This dress was amazing.

They were very heavy and they left marks on my wrists from all the dancing I did. If you intend to be doing any traditional folk dancing that involves jumping and moving your wrists....don't wear these. If you're gonna be calm elegant and beautiful, go for it!

I safety pinned the key-hole since I was wearing it to event attended by conservative types. Lovely! Thought I was going to wear it to a wedding, but it wasn't formal enough - but we had lots of pre-wedding events and this was perfect for it.
