The fit ran large for RTR. In the size 10 I had over two inches extra in the waist and at least an inch to spare in the hips. For everyday I would have just thrown a belt on and gone with it. Since it was a special occasion and there would be lots of pictures I went with a more flattering dress from my closet instead. I might rent it in the next size down, although I would still probably need a belt to snug up the waist (pear person problems). It would be perfect for a work or other conservative event where you still want to look festive. The color is great, it doesn't show up well in my pictures but is a bright vivid blue, almost electric blue. The length is elegant, ending just below my kneecap. The fabric is MUCH thinner than I expected: it is not a thick fabric that will in any way hold you in.

Loved the rich blue color. The low neckline and lace sides made it sexy, but it still looks classy and elegant. I felt comfortable and beautiful all night long. The 10 fit my hips perfectly. Extra space in the top half since my top and bottom are one or two sizes different, but the fabric drapes so it fit closely enough on the bust. Extra waist space was kind of cute with the lace cutouts. Versatile style - our event had a mix of short and long dresses and I did not feel overdressed in the slightest. I would absolutely rent again. Length - with 2.5" heels, the hem on the 10R was a bit above the floor. Bra - I wore just breast lift tape and it worked fantastic for my smallish chest. Didn't bother securing the neckline with garment tape, but bustier ladies might want the added security.

I did not end up wearing the dress, even though I really liked the cut. The hips of the 10R were tight on me - my hips are one to two sizes larger than my torso/chest. Because the fabric was thick and stretchy, I could have gotten away with it, but my backup dress fit better and was also lovely so I wore that instead. The cut of the dress is sleek and elegant. The fabric and lining are thick and heavy which makes undergarments easy. However, a strapless bra might show on the sides, so it might be wise to have some kind of stick-on arrangement at the ready. The side cutouts did appear a bit larger in person than on the model. Also, the seaming weirdly made it look exactly like my nipples were showing, but I think this was because I had a lot of room in the top of the dress. Probably would not be a problem for someone with a fuller chest.
