I didn't end up wearing this because it was heavier than expected for the weather. The layered look seems like a good idea but it was strange in practice and you have to generally keep it all buttoned or completely unbuttoned.

The material, pattern and fit on this dress are fantastic. Should have read the other reviews first though as the design is poor. There is a side zipper, one hook and eye, and tree snaps that will definitely unsnap if you raise your arms too high. Which happened multiple times the venting I wore it. My husband had to keep snapping them for me because they are hard to reach yourself. Too annoying to wear again.
