This dress is perfect for outdoor summer weddings where the dress code is more formal (as in, you don't want to show up in a sundress but a cocktail dress isn't quite right either). I wore this to a wine country outdoor wedding (ceremony and dinner were outdoors) and it hit the dress code on the mark as lots of other guests were also wearing similar flowy long dress that were more formal like this. There is a slit which makes it sexy (not shown on the RTR model). The photo on the RTR model makes this dress look too heavy/voluminous (prob b/c the model is too small for the size she's wearing)... on a real person it looks much lighter/fresher. The top does RUN SMALL and it has boning. There is no stretch. You will need to make sure that you size up as the back up. I usually wear a 2-4 (XS/S) and the small barely fit me on top. It's definitely contemporary sizing and not the more generous sizing you'll find at places like J Crew. For my height I wore a 2.5 in heel and it was fine (although a higher heel that is like 3.5-4 would have also worked but your shoe may show a little).

Love the sophistication of this dress and the laser cut lace details give it the interest that makes it stand out. It's a great option if you want to look classy yet stylish. It's great if you don't want to be the center of attention, and yet if someone does notice you, will think that you're someone who is effortlessly chic. Dress is very forgiving given that it's black and also the material is very stretchy but thick enough to provide some support if your figure isn't perfect. If you have a nice nude bra, it may not even be necessary to wear strapless, you could get away with a normal bra as long as it's low cut and nude.

I rented this because I've got enough clutches that I've only used once and paid hundreds for, but as with many RTR stuff, I ended up wishing I could buy this one. LOL. It was the perfect finish to my coral Herve Leger dress and I even used it for my wedding dress as well. Super classy. There was more than enough space for the essentials and yet it was compact enough to be a real clutch that wasn't at all over sized. Well worth the rent!

I think it goes without saying that this dress is amazing. It's flattering in every way if you have the body for an Herve, and the minute you walk into a room with this dress everyone just looks up in awe. I wore this for my rehearsal dinner and my fiance loved it. My photographer was amazed and happy I gave her yet another hot dress to shoot. I will figure out how to buy an Herve as I am now addicted to them. They are frankly one of the few dresses you will wear again and dare I say, worth the price. Color: One thing to note is that the color is somewhat true what others have noted. In harsh/bad light, the dress color could be orangey... in good lighting, it's the most fabulous, beautiful coral color ever. Try to not wear it in yellow/bad lighting... it looks best in natural light/outdoor events. It's a beautiful color. I will post pictures when my photos are in! Sizing: I wore the size S even though I am a 2. I didn't try to squeeze into the XS because my hips are really a size 4. It did fit comfortably for an Herve, and this Herve seems to be slightly more generous of a fit than the black & blue striped one I've rented before. Perhaps this one is more worn in.

I would have easily been willing to pay retail for this. In fact, if RTR wants to sell this to me, I'll take it! I wore this for my wedding. Before I settled on renting, as I did prefer to buy, I looked high and low and could not find anything (short of paying Harry Winston a cool few million to make a real version of this LOL) that looked this beautiful, this elegant, and timeless. I love this bracelet. Ciner is apparently a very hard to track down brand... it's not carried en mass by any major retailer and I have yet to run into any boutiques that sell this. It's a puzzle too because the quality and design is easily comparable and actually better than what is currently sold at Bergdorfs/Saks/Neimans, yet none of these stores carry Ciner. RTR, please tell me where I can buy this if you are not going to sell this any time soon!

I wish I could buy this dress. If there was one dress worth splurging over $1000 for this would be it. I love it so much I am renting it again. It's super hot, yet the color and pattern is sophisticated enough that you don't run the risk of looking too flashy (or run the risk of looking like you're wearing a knock off). Wore this in Vegas for bachelorette, couldn't be happier. Definitely hot. Definitely turned heads. Love it. It is super dauntingly small looking when it arrives though, definitely don't go down a size, but don't be afraid of it either, you'll squeeze in somehow! Even though I've lost 10 lbs since I rented this dress I am still not going to order the XS when I rent it again b/c that just looked like it was for petite people who are skinny as sticks.

This dress is very stretchy, a little big on top, I went with the smaller size (ordered a 2 and a 4 and ended up wearing the 2 b/c I am smaller on top, luckily the bottom still fits b/c of the stretch). So if you're busty, this dress will actually be okay in your normal size. I've since gotten confirmation when I was at Vera Wang's stores from their sales lady that this line tends to run a bit bigger. It was a fabulous dress! I wore this for my bachelorette party and felt super hot. Loved it so much that I got the skirt version when VW was on sale on a popular sample sale website. Must rent! Totally worth it.
