Gorgeous dress, tons of compliments, pack safety pins!
The straps were reeeeally long on me, but easily altered with safety pins. The fabric does not stretch, so size up for your backup. I'm a 2/4 from the waist up and a 4/6 from the waist down, so I wavered between the Small and Medium. I ultimately went with the Small because the Medium looked baggy, but as you can see from the photo it fit suuper tight.

Flattering fit, great color
This is a great alternative to the lace Self Portrait dress that seems to be the wedding uniform this spring. Was slightly baggy in the chest for me (I'm a 34A/B) but I'd wear it again in a heartbeat. Great color and lots of compliments!

Cool dress but too tight
This is an awesome dress but was a poor choice for my Pear body type (typically 2 on top, 4 on bottom). It was so tight in the hips/thighs I almost decided not to wear it! I wish I had ordered one size up (4) but I suspect that would have ended up being baggy in the bodice.

Very pretty and flattering
Wore this dress to a black tie wedding in Nashville and absolutely loved it. The A-line cut is extremely flattering especially for my body type (smaller in the waist/ribs/shoulders and bigger in the hips/booty). I am 5'5" and typically a 2 on top and 4 on bottom, and the 2R fit perfectly. The high-low hem is ideal for showing off a great pair of heels!

So many compliments!
I was almost embarrassed by the number of compliments I received (from strangers!) about this dress. It obviously makes a huge impression on onlookers! I'm a consistent size 2 on top and size 2/4 on bottom, and the size 42R fit my bum/hips perfectly, but was pretty baggy in the bust area. The size 40 was unavailable for my event but I suspect it would have been too tight on my hips regardless. I used fashion tape to keep the straps in place but as you can somewhat see in the photo they were still gaping a bit. I think if I was more busty (I'm a 34A) this would have been less of an issue. I went with the 42R and even the Regular length is still pretty long - I am 5'5" and with 4" heels the dress skimmed the floor so if you're on the shorter side, bring your tall shoes!

Short dress that's still black-tie appropriate
I absolutely loved wearing this dress. It was super flattering and a bit more fun than your average LBD. It's not long, but the cut/fabric/knee-length still feel very formal so it was more than appropriate for the black-tie wedding I attended. The bodice is fitted, so if you are busty or have a broader rib cage I would recommend ordering the next size up for your backup. There's plenty of room in the hips/butt so if you're larger on the bottom (like I am), fear not! I am smaller in the chest and did not need to wear a bra, but kind of wish I'd packed a strapless push-up or chicken cutlets to help make some cleavage happen.

Very flattering, photographs very well
This was a super flattering dress for my body type, which is smaller on top, narrow waist, rounder on the bottom, although I'd imagine it would look great on pretty much any body type. I have zero complains about this dress, just an FYI that the model in the RTR photo is probably very tall (as models tend to be), because this dress was only a few inches above my knee (I'm 5'5"). This dress felt very well made and the print photographs very well.

Sexy dress for a cold night - super short!
I rented the S and the M and, as many other reviewers did, wore the M to get a bit more length. I am not super tall (5'5") and my legs are not very long so I don't normally have a problem wearing shorter dresses, but the S was VERY short (like only an inch or so below my butt in the back). I have a larger/round booty, so if yours is more petite this will probably be less of a problem for you. I didn't notice any major fit differences between the S and the M besides the length. This is a super flattering dress - the print/banded detailing is very flattering and the material is thick and really "holds you in" kind of in the same way that an Herve Leger dress does. It's also very warm, which was a major plus (I wore it with tights on a January night out in NYC).

Pricey, but SO WORTH IT for my bachelorette party!
I rented this dress for my bachelorette party in New Orleans and it's one of the favorite things I've ever worn in my life! If buying an Herve dress was in my budget I would have bought this in a second, but renting was the next best thing. I am typically a 0 in the bust and a 2 in the hips, so based on other commenters' advice I rented the S and XS. I didn't notice much of a difference between the two in the tightness on my hips, but the XS squeezed my chest/armpits a bit so I went with the S. The bandage-style construction of Herve dresses is just as amazing as people say - this dress completely sucked me in and made my hips/booty look great! This is a pricey rental, but it was totally worth it for a special night out.

Tons of compliments, and I was comfortable all evening!
I rented this dress for a rehearsal dinner and it was so perfect! Because I am normally a size 0 up top and a 2 down below, I rented both sizes (love the free backup size!). I ended up wearing the 2 because the 0's lining was just a smidge too tight around my hips, but I didn't notice a significant difference in the bodice fit between the 0 and the 2. I wore 3.5" espadrille wedges and the length was perfect (I'm 5'5"), but I wouldn't have worn heels any higher than that. Taller ladies should probably go with a flat sandal. You can see from my photo that the pattern is really pretty and photographs well. I was a bit concerned that the dress would be too close to white to wear to a wedding event, but it is definitely grey from afar, with very pretty coral/orange accents when viewed up close. Had I planned ahead, I would have gotten a grey or coral manicure to go with! Above all, this dress was COMFORTABLE! Not at all restricting, and I didn't feel like I had to pass up dinner or "suck it in" all evening. That being said, it didn't look sloppy or too casual for a semi-formal event. The structured bodice also helped me avoid tugging it up all night long (not a good look).
