A few layers of fabric help define this dress. There are many panels on the torso; if your short waisted, they will probably hit you at the hips.

This dress fit just fine, but it was much younger of a look/feel than I'm used to. Hard to pull off as a normal work dress for over 40... and I'm saying that with generally no bias towards what department I shop in, but between the straps, print, color and fit, it just didn't work for me.
