I received the x-small and it did not close. I was unable to wear. I would definitely give it another try in a larger size.

Dress was absolutely adorable.
My daughter just turned 4 and the size 4 was a bit short. I liked the fit on her but she is petite. If you have a taller 4 year old you might want to go to a size 5. The only complaint was that the dress is a bit itchy. It is lined but still a little itchy from the sequence.
