The dress itself is made out of a weird, crinkly, chiffon-like fabric. It's very light and airy, but it seems like it would be very fragile. I rented this with another dress, and it took me about 2 seconds to decide I wasn't going to wear it. I ended up trying it on even though I didn't like the way it looked on the hanger, and the 42L I got was pretty long. I would've needed 4-5" heels to make it so that it didn't drag the floor, so I would recommend getting a regular size for women of my build. The zipper was pretty terrible and got stuck about halfway up, and then it was difficult to get it to go back down so that I could get out of the dress -- and not because it didn't fit! :) I hate to sound so down on this dress, but it just wasn't what I was expecting.

Fit very well. I did not wear a bra with it, and it stayed up wonderfully without any tape. I ordered the 10R and 10L. The 10 L was WAYYY too long, so I wore the 10R with 3 inch heels, which made it just skim the floor. I didn't have my dress stepped on once the entire evening!! Only complaint--the zipper SUCKS. I ran around my sorority house and had 8 different girls try to zip it up. This wasn't because it was too small for me; we easily pulled the sides together. The zipper was the problem, honestly!! Beautiful dress though! You can make it as elegant or as informal as you'd like with accessories. I paired it with a sparkly, chunky necklace from my personal jewelry box to wear to my sorority's formal.

Fit: Runs true to size. I am fairly busty, and I could not wear a bra with this dress. I am kind of short-waisted, so unfortunately the side zipper bunched up a little bit. This was only really a problem when I was sitting down, but even then it was mostly hidden by the ruching. Pros: Great bold color! Would pair well with any color jewelry. Not heavy, but also doesn't feel like it might fly off of your body if there was a breeze. Feels comfortable, and breathes well also. Would be good any time of year. The skirt fans out when you twirl :) Cons: It might be difficult to pair a necklace with this dress because the one-shoulder cuts across pretty high up on your chest. Again, I'm short-waisted so there was a bit of bunching of the zipper, but it was not a huge problem by any means! Other info: I paired this dress with silver/diamond bracelet and earrings and silver Michael Kors heels, but I think any color metal or stone even would look great with it! Highly recommend this dress.

Fit: A lot bigger than I expected them to be -- not that that's a bad thing! I just didn't realize they were so long, maybe because I'm not familiar with the brand. The ends kind of laid on my shoulders, but only the very very tips. I don't have a super long neck, but I don't have a short neck either. If you have a long neck, then you have nothing to worry about! Pros: BEAUTIFUL -- So glamorous. Love the art deco inspired design. (Maybe we wouldn't call that art deco.... I'm not sure. They're fabulous regardless!) Cons: Very heavy. Probably don't wear these if you'll be doing a lot of dancing with spins because your earlobes will feel violated after a couple of hours haha. I had to take them off between dinner and the actual event. Also, one of the backs on one of the earrings wasn't staying on very well, so I had to borrow backs from another pair of my earrings. However, I'm sure not all of the pairs are like this! Other info: I would definitely wear these with your hair pulled up to show them off. They're too gorgeous to only let people catch fleeting glimpses of them peeking out from under your hair :)

The fit was good! I honestly hadn't even considered that fit might be an issue. There were absolutely no issues at all. And I think I have average-sized wrists! Pros: Easy to get on and off by yourself Cons: None! Other details: This piece is just so glamorous :) It looks really fabulous on!

Very form fitting, typical for Herve. Extremely low cut, be prepared for everyone to be checking you out — girls and boys alike (kind of hard to ignore that much cleavage). If you have big boobs, be aware that the bust will stretch out significantly as the night goes on... This was kind of a problem, and it made me glad I was just renting the dress. Not to really turn anyone off from renting it, because I DID LOVE the dress, but just being realistic!

The zipper on my gown was SO difficult. It was hard to zip up when I put it on, and even harder to unzip later. Before you jump to conclusions, the dress really did fit me. I wasn't trying to squeeze into something here, so it was very unfortunate that it gave me so much trouble. But I got so many compliments! It's a beautiful dress.
