Wore this for my backyard covid wedding. It was perfect - so many compliments!
the top can be lower cut if you have a short torso. It also either looks incredible or unflattering in photos depending on the angle

great dress - stands out in a crowd
I am 5'6 and normally a 2 in dresses and I rented both the 2L and the 4L. I ended up wearing the 4L (the 2 wouldn't even zip) so I would recommend sizing up. The dress would have been perfect lengthwise with a 3 inch heel - I wore a 4 inch heel and it was a tad shorter than I would have liked, but still a great dress in a great color!

totally adorable mad men style
I wore this for a professional event and I felt amazing. This dress is so cute, the picture doesn't do it justice. It has a mod 60's feel to it and as with most theory dresses, it is true to size. I would buy it if I could!

sophisticated and sexy with a hint of retro glamour
Definitely a winner! I wore this to a black tie optional affair and I received compliments all evening. The slip being longer than the dress didn't bother me at all - it made it more interesting and unique. I was worried that the color wouldn't work with my pale skin, but it worked really nicely. Definitely size up. I am a 2 in brands like theory and shoshanna but the 4 in this dress fit me like a glove.

Pictures don't do this dress justice! It's completely adorable in person, runs true to size, and can be dressed up or down. The material is quite thick so I wouldn't recommend it for hot weather. It could potentially be work appropriate if worn with dark tights (it's a bit short for the office with bare legs). It was a tad roomy in the waist - which I don't mind at all since I had to sit most of the time I was wearing it.

The dress fits true to size, is the perfect length and is perfect for a beachy wedding or cocktail party. I was worried how the color would look against my pale skin, but it worked well! I would definitely recommend it!

super cute dress - BUT fairly seethrough
The dress is cute and perfect for a summer party. I found it to be very short and see through. As the other reviews mentioned, I think it's best to wear a slip with it.

This dress makes you look like a gift!
Sparkly, chic, and simple - this dress was beautiful and I got a lot of compliments on it at the winter wedding I rented it for. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because of the neckline. The dress is fully lined, but the seam where the lining meets the sequined fabric on the neckline was sort of scratchy and uncomfortable. As the night wore on, however, I didn't notice it at all and loved every second of my experience.

Felt like a million bucks.
The dress runs a bit small - I felt like I had a bit more room to breathe in the size above what I normally wear. It's very shiny and silvery in person which is really beautiful and the tweed is a great look for fall/winter. The exposed back is a fun surprise. All in all I received many compliments. A great rental experience!

Dressy enough for a party, casual enough for summer
I wore this to an office party with a "summer chic" dress code. Paired with nude pumps and gold earrings, this dress is a knockout. It's a bit short, but I like dresses that show a little bit of leg. The material is quite thick, so I wouldn't wear it to an outdoor event when it was warm out but it was perfect for an indoor party.

I wore this to a charity event and it was the perfect dress. Unique yet elegant!
I found the fit to be true to size. The bust area was very fitted so if you are well endowed, you may need to size up. The lace cap sleeves are really beautiful and the color looks great on any skin tone. Definitely a win!
