This was my back up dress for a wedding. I ordered a size or so larger than I normally wear and it was too big in the bust area for me. That said, in the right size this would be stunning. The colors are terrific and the R length was perfect for me to wear with flats, though I don't think I could have got away with heels. My only complaint was that I couldn't figure out a way to tighten the halter - it hung a bit low on me, but this could have been because I ordered a larger size.

I am a Brit living in a America, and while I am very familiar with UK sizing, this dress without doubt ran very small and rather long (I am 5"8 and the long brushed the ground with 4 inch heels on). It took me and two friends quite some effort to get the zipper up around my rib cage, and I am not especially big. That said, when it was up it fitted perfectly and was a fab dress. The material is fantastic - it looks and is high quality. It was great to dance in - I just grabbed the excess and flipped it round. The colors are very vivid and the slit was a nice touch. Only reason why I didn't give this five stars was that without two friends to help me zip up the dress there was no way I could of worn it!

This was a terrific dress and very floaty It was the right length, but my goodness this ran SO small. I got it up over my hips, but could not for the life of me do the zip up over my ribcage. And I am not even that big up top! If I were to order this again I'd go for the 10 or even 12, but is worth it as it's a lovely dress. Definitely chat with the stylist to get the right size for this one!

I would never have picked out this dress, but the back up dress I originally ordered was damaged, so this was sent as a replacement. Boy I am glad that happened! I think this is a really classic dress. It's not overly sexy; it's timelessly feminine. This is a long dress - I am nearly 5'9 and with 4 inch heels it was just the right length. If you are on the shorter side, I would err on ordering a regular. The fit is great and forgiving for those of us with hips. I didn't feel the need for a bra, but I think if you prefer support, this might not be the dress for you. The back has a beautiful flowing back feature, which worked for me as I have some scarring on my back and this helped mask it. I paired this dress with bronze accessories, but you could easily pair with silver or gold bags, shoes and jewelry. My only complaint is that the neck chaffed my skin a bit, but it was bearable.

This dress fit well and was comfortable. The sequins were in great shape and it was overall a very glam dress. I could wear a normal bra with this dress with no issues. The dress clung a little around my midsection a bit, but otherwise was flattering. I personally didn't find the V neck too deep, but if you're shy showing off the girls, you might want to pin the dress. That said, I am nearly 5"9 and rented a long and it was still WAY too short. Without shoes on this dress hit my ankles. With shoes on there would have been a good 4-5 inches between the end of the dress and the floor. For that reason I choose not to wear this dress to the event I was going to. Bottom line: rent if you are comfortable with showcasing your boobs and are on the shorter side.

This dress was super comfortable and perfect for a beach wedding. Like others had mentioned some of the gold threads were worn, the black ribbon belt wouldn't behave and rolled down (not such a bad thing as it made it a bit smaller) and poking out and the bloomers were not going to close. Ever. But, that said, this was a fab dress. I loved the slits, the bow and that I could wear this without a bra, though I had plenty of room on top and had to tie the neck very tightly to make sure I didn't flash any boob.. I got lots of compliments and more than one person said the dress was like a Greek goddess - I'll take it.

I have rented another BM gold sequin dress from Rent the Runway before (the Glitz Gown) and preferred the fit and feel of that dress. This ran really small at the boobs and under the arms, so much so that I couldn't zip the dress up, which is odd for me as it's usually my hips that don't fit things. I would suggest sizing up if you are fuller in the chest. That said, if this had fitted, I think this would be an awesome dress, the length was great, the sequins were beautiful and more of a bronzy gold and the ruching details on the hips were very flattering. Would definitely order again in a larger size.

I loved the look of this dress, but unfortunately the draping around the middle just did not fit and it most certainly did not flatter my figure. It kind of hung there almost like a pouch or pocket. No matter how I arranged it, I could not get it to look like the ruching in the photo and made me look like I was heavier than I was. Reading the other reviews, I suspect that this isn't always the case and perhaps there is something about my body type that caused this. I'm sad, because up until this point I've always been totally thrilled with the dresses I have ordered from Rent the Runway, but I'll definitely order again.

I ordered this as my backup dress and wasn't overly thrilled about this piece. I found it to run very small - I could hardly do up the side zipper up my rib cage, even though that is one of the most narrow parts of my body. So I'd definitely size up if you have a bigger bust. The fabric feels nice and the floaty parts that drape down the leg are lovely, but for me, there was just something a bit off with the colors, at least for what I had in mind. I couldn't put my finger on it - they just seemed a bit dull, I guess. The racer back is a nice detail, but might wear making a bra or some sort of support a bit tricky. I didn't think this was the right choice for the wedding I was going to, but that said I think it would be great for a beach wedding or a night out, so please don't be put off by my review!

I had quite a challenge finding a dress that was appropriate for being a reader in a wedding ceremony, that could also be worn to a fun party reception without being too brash for the church or too conservative for the party. I think this dress just about did it. It is short-ish (I am 5"8) and the length hit just a tad longer than the length on the model in the picture. That said, it did not ride up at all and stayed in place in spite of lots of dancing, and did not look trashy because of the beautifully detailed long sleeves and the high neckline. I paired the dress with sparkly blue peep toe pumps, which again, tamed the dress a bit and made it more appropriate for the ceremony. If I was wearing this just to a party, I think I'd go for silver strappy sandals. The color of the dress is a true navy (in some of the photos of the other renters looking awesome in this dress the fabric looks more royal blue, but I didn't find this to be the case). The sequins are beautiful as they are all different sizes, so add a complexity to the texture of the sparkles, and they didn't really itch or bother me, but they did shed a little bit. Like one other reviewer stated, this dress can get a bit hot - I danced the night away, and it definitely wasn't the coolest of garments, but to be honest I probably would have felt that way in any long sleeved dress. In terms of size, I went up a size - I am more pear shaped, and while the 4 zipped up, I felt it pulled a bit around the hips and thought it was more flattering with a little bit of movement in the 6. I was thankful for this while dancing. In all, I thought this was a unique dress that was very comfortable and fun to wear. I would recommend it in a heartbeat.

Badgley Mischka and rent the runway, I owe you. I have never felt as great as I did in this dress and never received as many compliments as I did the day I wore this. It's an absolute showshopper, but equally is surprisingly comfortable. You can wear a regular bra underneath and the way it is cut is very forgiving (it isn't clingy around the hips). The sequins are beautiful and are sewn on properly - not many of them shed - indicating the quality of this garment. As many other reviewers noted, they are less of a yellow and more of a pinky gold. I found the deep V to be the right length for me and my comfort zone (I am 5"8) and didn't need to tape the dress. One thing I will say is that the long is long, and I wore 4.5" heels and it was still pretty long. Overall, I can honestly say this is the best dress I've ever worn and I was so sad to send it back!
