I agree with another reviewer that this runs small. I wasn't able to wear it over a collared shirt, but did okay over a Tshirt (had to wear open to accommodate a larger bust). The main fabric is more like a textured knit (i.e. sweatshirt-like) material, which is great for comfort. I was expecting something woven (especially given the "tweed" description) which would've been a bit roomier. It is fairly short, so not sure it would work on a long-waisted person. This looks great with jeans for casual Friday at work. It is the ultimate desk-to-dinner piece without being too basic. I love everything about the look of this, just wish it had been a tad bigger. I love that the navy is trimmed in black, so no need to obsess over shoe/accessory colors.

Perfect sparkle
This was perfect for a late-fall formal charity event. Though formal, the event still had a fun vibe, and this dress was the perfect fit, both on me and for the event. Sequins + open cowl back + short sleeves made me feel comfortable and appropriately covered, but also glam. I received many compliments. Several other women were wearing sequin dresses there, but none sparkled like this one - the quality of the dress was evident! Also, this shade of green was fantastic. I hate to rent black dresses (yawn), so this shade was different without being loud. I went with deep berry shades on my nails and lips to keep from looking to Christmas-y.

This was the perfect little add!
I paired this with a green sequin dress with an open back, so I thought a necklace would've been too much. A simple but impactful cuff was just the answer. Added the right pop of glam without cluttering up my look.

Too low cut for my bust
This dress looks fun, I liked the flowy skirt. I usually don't shirk from a plunging v neck, but this particular dress didn't have enough structure in the bodice (not talking about support, just overall structure of the design) to make me comfortable in public. It's like the sides don't come up high enough, and there's nothing keeping the straps close to the body. Underboob, sideboob, all-the-boob. Would be so cute on small-chested ladies.

Perfect work-to-evening skirt
I wore this to the office with a black tank and black blazer. I had an evening cocktail event immediately after work, and this skirt works for the office but with enough edgy interest not to feel to stuffy at the cocktail party. Love the longer length on my 5'10" frame.

Perfect to feel special - forgiving cut
I felt pretty in this dress for a small birthday gathering at an upscale restaurant on a weekday. Not too flashy for the occasion, but still a special boost. I was feeling a little "fluffy" so spanx were needed, but otherwise I think this dress would be forgiving on most bodies. Great length for my 5'10" frame.

Felt special -- Welcome Reception dress for Bride
I wore this dress to my casual "Welcome Reception" the night before my black-tie wedding on New Year's Eve. I paired it with opaque black tights and riding boots -- that particular combo wouldn't work for anyone but a winter bride in a bar (the black and white a little too stark for another event). However, this dress is very versatile. A great blank canvas for great accessories. I also rented a necklace -- I would highly recommend adding a statement piece to this dress. I wish this dress had fit me a bit better. I have a large bust but narrow waist. I think it looked a little bit drapey around my middle. If I owned this dress, I would have it taken in a bit. I don't think I could've gone down a size, though, to accommodate my other proportions.

I wish I owned this necklace! Perfect with strapless dresses.
I rented this necklace for an out-of-town wedding and ended up wearing it all weekend! It looked great at work with just a plain white collared shirt on Friday, pretty much made my entire outfit at the wedding on Saturday, and I wore it out the following Sunday night with jeans and a silk top. I ended up getting engaged later that Sunday night -- I wonder if the necklace had anything to do with it?! I like to think it's lucky :) Anyway, I think this is the PERFECT necklace in all ways. In particular, its shape and scale make it the perfect piece to wear with a strapless dress. I like a little more visual interest up around my face than a strapless dress can sometimes provide. I seriously sometimes think I actually *have* this neckalce, and then I go to my jewelry drawers and then I'm reminded that I only rented it. Perfect in every way.

Perfect for a summer party; many compliments all night!
I wore this to my 30th birthday party in June. RTR is great for bold, special occasion dresses like these because while it was *perfect* for my event and I felt special and lovely in it-- this isn't the kind of dress I could wear multiple times per year since it is so memorable! I wore the 8, but the style is very forgiving-- I could have probably gone up or down a size with little change to the overall look. I was worried that the hemline would look too short with my extremely long legs, but I think it was just right for a party (maybe not for a wedding). Very flattering on! I wore with nude shoes and no jewelry. Just let the colors and bold flower shine!

Super fun, the kind of dress that is perfect as a rental because of the unique pattern.
I rented this dress for an Indian/Hindu wedding where most of the women were in saris. It was perfect, and I fit right in! This dress is why RTR is so great -- typically this would be too bold of a print to get away with wearing more than once a year. The top is held up by an elastic band. It was secure, but without the bold pattern it might have looked a little obvious or casual. This dress is very long. I'm a tall gal, and this came exactly to the floor in a perfect column. Any longer would have been no bueno. I wore flats easy to dance in for the wedding, and I'm not sure anyone ever saw them (a good thing!). I probably could've gotten away without wearing spanx with this dress, but felt much more comfortable with those smoothing powers, as the synthetic fiber of this dress does lend itself to showing every bump and dimple, but the bold pattern does offer some camouflauge. I also rented the necklace pictured with it -- it really makes the dress! I highly recommend doing both, as the necklace creates more of a "neckline" where the straight-across elastic might have looked a little too casual for the wedding.

Gorgeous necklace, but not as bold as I was expecting.
What a gorgeous piece! I chose this necklace for my engagement photos because I thought the crystals were reminicient of some of the features in my enagement ring. However, the neclace kind of got lost with the overall lace of my dress unless the shot was a close-up. The length was a little bit awkward with the neckline of the dress, too, so unless I was thinking about it for every shot, sometimes it would slip behind the neckline. Overall gorgeous necklace, would probably look best with a solid color dress with a more open neckline.

Lace may be trendy right now, but I loved the timeless look for my Engagement Photos!
This dress ended up being the perfect thing for my engagement photo session. It was a much brighter cobalt blue in person than in the RTR model pic (I thought I was getting something closer to a navy), but I ended up loving the brighter shade! I think I ordered the 8 and the 10 and wore the 8. I'm larger in the bust area, but the fit was fine in this dress. I was concerned it would be too short (I'm 5'10" with most of my height in my femur!), but I think the length was just right. I could pose with confidence in this. If I had to do it over again, though, I would get a bolder necklace or just skip it. The clear crystal, though chunky, wasn't bold enough to show up over all that lace (and the neckline had a tendency to fold forward a bit if I wasn't standing up perfectly straight, and would swallow the necklace a bit). Not a reflection on the dress, just go bold with your necklace!
