The fit was a miss
The dress looks gorgeous on so many of you but the dress was off for me and made me feel frumpy, sadly. I checked their size chart and zero was a 25” waist and my dress was an inch bigger so it had a bit of wear. I ended up replacing it with a reformation dress.

You’ll look ethereal
It’s a cute and comfortable dress. The fabric is very soft and high quality. It’s lined but I still could see my underwear through it, so nude undies it was. The slit could be lowered an inch or two and it’d still look great; alas you’ll have to be careful. Also, the linen naturally wrinkled with time but I didn’t mind that. Sizing note: it was big in the chest for me and overall a little baggy and I had to use tape to secure it. 23” waist and 31” chest for your reference and usually a 00 not 0.

This dress is beautiful and has the most exquisite fabric detail, like truly stunning — I need to be having tea in Versailles in it. …but I couldn’t wear it. If you are a size 0, or any other size for that matter, this is not sized like the usual size 0. Simkhai’s webpage has the size 0 measurements as follows: bust 32”, waist 25”, low hip 35.5”. This is a little bigger than the standard size 0 measurements, so, no matter what your usual size is I would go to the website to check their size chart. For reference I’m a bust 30.5”, waist 23”, low hip 32”. They don’t make a smaller size than a 0 so I had no choice but to not wear this dress. It wouldn’t stay up and looked unflattering, but it didn’t fit so that’s not surprising. I think I read other reviews where people struggled with it staying up — so, regardless of fit that might be an issue. I can’t really give a fair review on it but I did find the flaring out under the bust to be different in a bad way. I would’ve belted it if it fit; that’s just personal preference though! The photos of others wearing this dress are beautiful!! So don’t let my review deter you, just check the size chart.

Fit me like a glove
This dress was lovely to wear. Exceptionally soft and comfortable. I also didn’t bother with a bra or nipple covers. It has a built-in corset that zips up with hooks at the top and bottom. Then there’s the outside zip which also has a hook at the top. But, for me, the corset underneath is what made this dress as great fit-wise as it was; I have bigger hip bones and it sat nicely on them. More people than I can remember said they loved the dress. The only con would be that it’s warm… so if you like to dance get ready to sweat. Rent it! You won’t regret it.
