Wore this to a bridal shower. It was a really hot day and although the outer fabric is light and flowy, the under shift was polyester and rather warm. The fit was perfect and my daughter thought the dress was cute, but I though it was kind of meh.

I was worried that I'd have to tug this dress up all night, but it is well designed and it never slipped. There was a small piece of boning that was poking up from the bodice under the arm, but I was able to snip it with nail clippers. There is not much give in the dress, but I never found it restricting. The sleeves and bright red color are what give this dress its pop.

I wore this to a ladies lunch and received lots of compliments for the color and au courant style of bell sleeves. It is a heavier, slightly stretchy fabric, so perfect for Fall/Winter wear, and very comfortable to wear. They did not have the 8, so I had to settle for the 10, which I sometimes wear. I thought the 10 ran a bit large, but not so much that it looked ridiculous. I paired it with black tights and short black booties. At 5'5", the hem length for my height and age (55) was perfect.

This dress was simple in design, but a few details make it an elegant and classy dress for a wedding or cocktail party. The fabric is not silk, but it does have a slight sheen to it. The designer twisted the fabric at the shoulders, which makes a unique detail. I am loosing my waist to middle age, but this dress gives you one and hides any small tummy pooch. My daughter said it was very slimming. I also felt I didn't have to wear any Spanx or foundation garments to look good in this dress, so that made it really comfortable.

I originally rented this for a wedding, but my daughter thought the Lela Rose "Run the World" dress was more suitable, and she was right. This dress I wore for the welcome party after the rehearsal dinner. The material is a heavy brocade, so this would be too hot for a daytime, outdoor wedding. However, for an evening event it was perfect. Cute, simple, but the gorgeous material and bright pink color made the dress. You will stand out, but in a good way. The pockets were a Godsend, deep enough to hold a phone and lipstick. My only criticism is I wish the straps had bra holders in them. Unless you have really abundant "twins" to fill the bodice out (and at 36C, I am not small), the straps are a little floppy. They don't fall down, but they gap. Two-sided tape would fix this. At 5'5", the dress hit me just above the knee, which was perfect.

What a great dress! I got this for a black tie affair - it was perfect and sooo glamorous. I got compliments all night from men and women, but the best was when a gay man approached me and said the dress was fabulous. "Love it!" When a man compliments you on your outfit, yay, but when a gay man does....well, you have hit it out of the park! While on the heavier side, it was quite comfortable. I danced like a fiend in it and never felt I was dying from overheating. It is very clingy and I did wear a strapless (a must) foundation garment, but the lace helps hide a multitude of not-so-perfect body parts. I've never re-rented any dress, but I would do so with this one in a heartbeat. I want to buy it!!!

Be prepared to buy double-sided dress tape, because this gown has a very deep plunge. I used tape, but also wrapped the long sash a couple time around and brought it up to make a simple knot that I pinned to the base of the plunge because it was to riske' for me. At 5'5", the gown was the perfect length with normal heels, and I didn't have to hold it up to walk. The color is more peachy pink than in the photo, and I thought it wasn't a good color for dark brown hair/eyes me, but my skin is pale and I got lots of compliments that it was a good color for me, so what do I know!

Wore this to a black tie affair and loved it! It was elegant, so comfortable, nicely hid my middle-aged pooch and created a nice waistline. I ordered a back-up 8R - which fit, but was slightly tight - but went with the 10R. The 8 arrived completely wrinkled and pilly at the hemline; the 10 was brand new, complete with tags. My only two complaints are for a 5'5" gal, it was too long by at least 2" even with heels (I just now figured out there are some dresses in petite size, duh, which are usually shorter). Second, that beautiful neckline dramatically opens up, showing the girls when one sits down, displaying the Braza Bras. I bought the stick-on Braza Bras, which were a waste of money, they immediately started peeling off between my breasts. You'll need either double sided tape made for dresses or a good 'ol safety pin.

RTR didn't send the size 10 with the 8, so with the help of Spanx I squeezed my bod into the dress. Despite being tight, all the ruching hid my flaws and it wasn't that uncomfortable. I can't tell you how many compliments I got from men AND women. Even a week later a guy friend told me how great I looked. It is a sexy and elegant dress.
