This dress is really pretty in person. It ended up being too formal, though, for the party I was attending, so I went with my back up (Trina Turk's Candy Wrapper dress). The lace and strapless effect are gorgeous but very formal looking in person. This would be perfect for a wedding, but for just a holiday party it was too much. I usually wear an 8 in dresses, but the 6 fit pretty well. The skirt doesn't have quite as much give as it looks like it might, so I would suggest ordering your regular size or even sizing up if you have large hips/butt. If I had worn the 6 I would have needed to add spanx. The dress looked to be in really good shape, which is nice because lace can be easily damaged.

I really enjoyed this dress. This is a perfect rental-- the color and shine is so memorable you'd never get away with wearing it twice. This was actually my backup dress so I only had it in a 6, plus a stylist picked it for me since my original backup was out of stock. I usually wear an 8, but because the skirt is pretty full the 6 worked on me. I imagine an 8 would have fit well too, though-- the top of the 6 was slightly tight around my ribs, but not bad. I got compliments all night, everyone wanted to know where I got it! The only thing I wouldn't suggest this for is dancing-- by the end of the night, the undersides of my arms were slightly sore where the shiny material had rubbed on them, so if I had been dancing I can imagine it would be worse. Oh, and the best part? Pockets!
