Felt beautiful in this dress, it camouflaged my trouble spots (upper tummy is one of them) and although I usually don't like to show my arms (bingo anyone?) the fit of the dress was so spot on that I didn't feel as if they were highlighted at all. As the fit specialist suggested, I had to go w/ the smaller of the two sizes. Although I felt more comfortable in the larger, as I'm not used to wearing such fitted clothing, the larger size just didn't lay right across my stomach & hips and the armholes were much to large. The only things I would have changed: I would have opted for a necklace as there turned out to be enough room in the neckline to showcase something small & pretty and I do love some sparkle! And I probably would have chosen a different color sandal, I went orange but would have preferred a creamy neutral bordering the palest of yellows.

Worry: length of piece Result: As a queen sized woman, most jewelry doesn't fit right. Normally a 18" chain falls just above my collar bone. As I was unsure ( I just might not have looked) of the length of the piece I was worried it wouldn't fill the deep v neck line of the dress I was wearing. But all that worry for nothing! the chain was long enough that I was able to place the focal point of the piece exactly where I wanted it to fall and had room to spare. Final thought: with as much sparkle as I anticipated, I chose not to pair it w/ an earing choice (thank you to lessons learned by watching Stacy & Clinton!) And this was definitely the right choice as this necklace received just as many compliments as the dress did!

Worry: Deep V, Wrap style neckline; Fix: just two pieces of dress tape; Result: danced like a fool w/ no wardrobe malfunctions! Worry: Sequined Lace overlay - I'm a large busted woman, sometimes these high waist details are to high for my build and creep up over the bottom of my bustline (making me look like I have my grandma's boobs!) Result: the scalloped edge of the design fell perfectly just below my bra band. Worry: Sequins looked silver online; Result: they are navy just like the dress, but catch the light like a disco ball! I paired them with a Bandolino heel I picked up at a local shoe store. the color was described as gold but looked more antique (almost pewter). Best of both worlds, more fun than a basic flat black heel and not that shiny silver i'm just not a fan of. Final touch: I also rented the Ella Carter 'Cameron' necklace from RTR which dressed up the neckline of the dress beautifully and was long enough that the bottom of the design fell at just the right spot! Last thought - I couldn't keep count w/ the compliments received by friends & strangers alike, but my favorites were the whispered comments from my guy as he showed me off all night long!

I needed to go up a size from my normal, only due to the detailing in the waistline. My widest waist measurement is about 2 inches above my natural waist and the smaller size pulled a bit in that area when i moved around in front of the mirror. The color is a beautiful deep blue and looked great with my charcoal heels. Even with my shorter stature, the sleeve and dress length were perfect so i didn't feel like Cinderella's kid sister playing dress up.
