This dress is much heavier than it looks because there is an under layer. The dress itself is conservative and the long sleeves make it ideal for cooler evenings/seasons. It tucks in a bit at the waist and is very slimming/makes me appear taller than I really am. PLUS it has a lower thigh/knee-high leg slit on the left side that makes it a younger fit and balances against the grandma-esque floral design. Great for events where you prefer some understated elegance and something that leans a bit more casual (e.g. work, dinners/dates)

I love this coat & wore this regularly to work and in my normal day-to-day around the city. It's chic and goes well with many outfits. Not a stand-alone coat if you are looking for warmth as there is only one button to keep the coat closed up; definitely more for the look than to keep bundled up. Highly recommend a few wears.
