Rented this for my husband's work holiday party. I felt great in it -- classy but comfortable. It's conservative with the high neck and longer length (perfect for long legged gals!) but the lace top is beautiful and unique, the cut is very flattering, and the little tie at the neck is a fun touch. It's quite flowy and not fitted in the top or skirt, but the waist (which hit near the bottom of my rib cage) has zero give -- so size accordingly! I'm usually between a 4 and 6 but ordered a 6 and 8 this time based on reviews and the fact that I'm currently 13 weeks pregnant. The 8 fit well -- I couldn't breathe in the 6. This dress is very friendly for a belly that hasn't quite popped yet but is a little bigger than usual. :) Overall a great versatile dress, would definitely rent again!

Wore this to an outdoor summer wedding and it was perfect! It feels very classy with the lace, high neck, and long length -- a great dress for tall ladies!! It's light enough to be comfortable in summer and has just the right amount of stretch for dancing. I'm usually between a 4 and a 6...the 4 fit better around the armpits and chest, but was just a little too tight in the rib cage to be comfortable for the whole night, so I wore the 6. It was a little loose on top but probably noticeable only to me. The dark blue slip part hung down below the lace on the 6, but I was able to fix it with a few safety pins. As other reviewers noted, the cut in around the armpits is a little weird -- I couldn't wear a regular bra, but a NuBra worked fine, and it's a really interesting and unique neckline/design.

I ultimately chose another dress for my rehearsal dinner; this one just felt a little too casual and unstructured. There was also something odd about the cut of this dress that made it lay strangely in the stomach/hips. The cutout areas of the lace along the stomach also just didn't work for me. Size-wise, the S fit a little on the tight side, but I was swimming in the M. This dress might be fun for a casual picnic or other daytime event, but it didn't work for me for my rehearsal dinner.

I got this as an alternate after the (plain black) jumpsuit I ordered was unavailable, and I'm actually really glad I ended up wearing this one for my bachelorette night. It is a really oddly-fitting piece, really outside of my fashion wheelhouse, pretty flashy and head-turning, and I wasn't totally convinced I was going to be able to pull it off -- but I did and felt very appropriately bachelorette-ey. The cutouts are fun and placed in a flattering spot. The top totally flattened out my chest in a very unflattering way, so I wore a NuBra for some shape and lift. The butt is really tight and any underwear lines show right through, so you gotta go thong. The legs were short but because they're so tapered it still worked for someone super tall like me (it doesn't come in long sizes through RTR). The stomach area is very strange and pooches in a weird way with the pleats/pockets, but it encouraged me to hold in my stomach and stand up straight. It's a little tight when you're sitting but the fabric has enough stretch that it was fine for dancing. The 6 was definitely the right size for me. It is truly a unique piece and stands out in a crowd. My friends joked that it looked like something out of American Hustle or an early 80s cocaine binge. It's basically the perfect RTR piece because my bachelorette night is definitely the only time I would ever wear it -- but it made me feel awesome the whole night.

I rented this as a option for my bachelorette party and didn't end up wearing it -- it was cute and really comfy but I wanted something more standout/special. But paired with some statement jewelry it'd be great for a night out dancing. The cutouts are cute and the top lays/flows nicely in the front, though no bra or a strapless/NuBra is a must. I'm 5' 11" with a 34-inch inseam, and it was short but not obscenely so. It was easy to move around in and wasn't too tight in the crotch like some jumpsuits/rompers can be. It does seem like the particular romper I was went has had a lot of wear. The band part of the top was kind of stretched out and was a little too loose on me (based on other reviews I went with the size 4, and I usually wear a 4/6 and 32B bra; I think I would have been swimming in the 6). One arm was also frayed/the seam was coming undone.

I rented this for my wedding shower and loved it -- got tons of compliments! The dress is fun and cute but still modest enough to be appropriate for a shower with lots of older relatives. :) I'm usually between a 4 and a 6 in dresses, and I wore the 4. It was a little snug in the chest and rib cage, but the 6 seemed too baggy in the armpits and sides. I had to wear a beige bra to avoid showthrough. The waist hit at a bit of an odd spot for me, and the pleated skirt accentuated my belly if I wasn't standing up straight and holding in my stomach -- but it motivated me to have good posture! I'm tall (5'10") and the length was fine, as long as I didn't bend over at the waist. The built-in slip is a nice touch. All in all, great dress -- I didn't want to take it off! Great RTR experience, per usual, and I loved not having to buy a white dress that I would only wear once! Rented it with a recommended necklace, which I also loved!

I rented this for an outdoor fall wedding in Yosemite and loved it! I'm usually between a 4 and a 6 and I wore the 6 -- I couldn't even get the 4 on my arms/shoulders, and it wouldn't have zipped. The 6 was a little more loose in the waist than I would have liked, but it was easy to move in and great for dancing. As other reviewers have noted, the arms are tight, and it was a little tough to raise them up fully while dancing. The top is conservative but elegant, the length is great (but I'm pretty tall; it may actually be too long or an awkward length for a shorter lady!!), the color really pops and is a nice change from the usual black or navy, and the back has a really gorgeous cut. I didn't love the big gold zipper, but it certainly wasn't a dealbreaker. Overall, I felt really comfortable and classy in this dress and it fit well. I didn't feel like it was too attention-grabbing or showy, but I still got a ton of compliments. Oh, and pockets!! I would definitely rent this one again.

I rented this for a wedding rehearsal dinner BBQ and also wore it to a concert because it came a day early (thanks, RTR!). It was chilly so I paired it with a cardigan. I'm usually between a 4 and a 6 and rented the 4 based on another RTRer's review/measurements. It was a little hard to get zipped, but once it was on, it fit great; a 6 would have definitely been too big on top. If you wear a 32 bra, I'd go with the 4. It's probably not a great choice for more busty ladies; I'm small on top and juuuust filled it out. Wearing a bra isn't an option due to the cut; my fiancé thought it looked great but I felt a little exposed. I really liked the length, the layers/flowiness at the bottom, and the asymmetrical hemline. Unfortunately I didn't looooove this dress. It looked a lot more casual than I was expecting, the material is very thin and crepe-like, and I wished it had a little more structure in the top, as the dress didn't really "do" anything for me up there. There was also something that felt sort of dated (but not vintage) about the overall style and pattern. However, it's a fun dress for a more casual, daytime, warm-weather outdoor event.

I really loved this dress! The color is a vibrant blue (a little brighter than navy) and the "illusion" two-piece style is really unique. I liked this dress, but it was a little on the showy/cleavage-y side for me to be 100% comfortable at a summer wedding. It may be more appropriate for a cocktail party or sexy date than a wedding. On one hand, it gave me some cleavage (which is quite rare), but I also felt a little exposed. I am usually between a 4 and a 6, and I went with the 4 for this dress, as the 6 was a little too baggy/gap-y on top. The 4 was tight in the waist and a little hard to get zipped, but fine once I had it on; as mentioned, a little showy in the top, and I used some fashion tape to keep my bra from showing. The length was fine even for a tall lady, and it was a little shorter in front than back, which gives an interesting silhouette. The color is nice and rich, and the skirt was pouffy in the right places and was fun to twirl in.

I liked this dress! I rented two dresses for a wedding weekend and ended up wearing this one for the rehearsal dinner. I paired it with causal sandals but it'd look great with colorful heels. I'm usually between a 4 and a 6, and the 4 fit perfectly, if a tiny bit little loose on top. I'm tall, but the length was fine and I felt comfortable moving around. I really loved this dress! I wore it to a formal, late-afternoon city wedding in early September. I'm usually between a 4 and 6, and both sizes actually fit fine. The 4 was juuuust a little tighter in the bust so it gave me some cleavage -- which usually doesn't happen for me! If I wanted a little more conservative look, I would have worn the 6. But overall I felt very comfortable in the dress -- the top was tight enough to keep everything in place, the length was perfect (even though I'm tall), and I could move and dance with ease. And the pockets are a great feature. The fabric is nice and thick and the gold dots give it a little something unique over a standard black dress. The skirt was a little more poofy at the waist than I was anticipating, but it gave it that great classic/retro silhouette. The only thing I didn't love is that the lining hung down below the dress kind of unevenly in some places, but that probably wasn't noticeable to anyone but me.

I wore this dress for my boyfriend's cocktail attire birthday party. I was worried the dress would be too short (I'm 5'11" with a 34" inseam) but it was okay -- it is certainly short, but it felt appropriate for a cocktail party and I was comfortable running around and dancing in it. It hit right around my fingertips. As other reviewers have noted, it's a wrap style in the front, but it worked even for my small bust -- I wore a regular push-up bra and actually had some cleavage! I usually wear a 6 but was glad I also got the 4 -- it fit perfectly and I didn't even try on the 6. Also as noted, the sequins did rub under my arms a bit, but it wasn't that bothersome...I think that's par for the course with sequins and it wasn't a dealbreaker for me. Overall, this dress is a really fun take on the LBD...I felt great, got tons of compliments, and would definitely rent it again!
