The skirt didn't have any give (elastic). My waist is typically a 6 to 8 and hips 10. The 10 was SNUG on the hips and the layered feathers kind of floated out making my hips look even bigger. I tried pairing it with a tight top but since the waist wasn't an exact fit and the hips were so tight, I felt like I couldn't move without the skirt riding up and sitting funny. I wish it fit because I love how the skirt looks on the model and other reviews!

The dress fit great! The material is thicker than I expected, but I think that makes it work for all four seasons. If you have medium to large breasts, you will definitely want sticky boobs or something to give them a lift. The way the top/front fits without something there for support makes you appear saggy or heavier. I loved this dress!

I rented the 40L & got the 42R as a backup and ended up wearing it. The 40L was a little short for being a long, it fit great in the body and the neckline was flattering, however it was very snug at my ribcage & bust. My boobs didn't fit in the dress. The 42R was too big in the areas where the 40L was too small, but I made it work! I pinned the dress at the nape of my neck and at my chest to show less cleavage. The length was great! I wore 3in heals, but I could have worn sandals and been fine. I felt glamorous all night long!!!
