I really liked this dress because the fun patterns and ruffles would distract from any insecurities I have. I normally wear a size 9/10 in jeans. I ordered this dress in a 10 and 12. Even the 12 was too tight around my hips and butt area. I didn't want to size up further to a 14 because then the top would be too big. I ended up returning it for a replacement and got a totally different style.

A few things about this dress- it's beautiful! I absolutely love the different colors and patterns. I wore it to an outdoor beach wedding and it fit the venue perfectly. The dress was tight around the waist. I tried the medium and the large, and while the large gave me more breathing room, it was just too big everywhere else so I went with the medium. The top has a little button to keep it closed, but it did not hold. I ended up putting two safety pins on the inside of the dress between my cleavage to hold it together. Also, the tie around the waist- super cute. But, I am 5'1, and I have zero length in my waist, so dresses always bunch up around my waist and look weird on me. When I looked at the picture of the model, the white part seems to be one piece. It's not. It wraps around, and then you tie it, so if it's not tight, it could untie. Mine hung off my waist, which is why in my picture you can see the yellow pattern in the middle. That is definitely because of my height.

I got so many compliments on this dress! The print, the color, the cut, the slit, everything is perfect! It was so comfortable and lightweight too! My only qualm- I had bra trouble. I am very uncomfortable not wearing a bra. I tried a strapless bra, but you could see it in the back. So then I tried a sticky strapless/backless and that was better, but sometimes the cowl neckline would droop and it would stick out. I tried going no bra but the material was so thin and there was no bone structure to make me feel secure so I did not feel comfortable doing that. I ended up safety pinning the top of my sticky bra to to inside of the cowl. This allowed the neckline to fall properly, but the top of the bra wouldn't show. Maybe a smaller sticky bra would have worked better, but it was still perfect!

I rented a medium and a small, anticipating to wear the medium. But when I tried the medium on, it was VERY low cut and I did not feel secure in the dress. The small was tighter around the waist that I would like, but I just ate a little less and I was fine. I was hoping to wear a strapless bra, but you could see it in the front. I even tried one of the sticky strapless/backless bras and you could see that too. So I had to go bra-less (my first time ever!) but the dress was structured so nicely that I felt comfortable doing so. The dress is beautiful with a nude shoe. I wanted to dress it down a bit to be more appropriate for the venue so I went with sandals rather than a heel. I really did not like how wedges looked with this dress. It cut off right before my ankle and I think it would have looked nicer if I had model height and it was calf length, but it was cute either way!
