This was definitely not something i'd normally wear, maybe considered a little too cute, but for some reason it spoke to me so i rented it. Loved it. Yes, it was cute, but the style and fit made it just hot enough to make me feel like a woman and not a little girl. And my child liked it, so thumbs up.

Lovely dress, fit perfectly, im 5'4" , wore 4" heels and chose the long length (4L), fabric is nice and thick, everything stayed in place without the need for tape (im usually a small 32B however it was that time of month my boobs grew to maybe a very full 32B/small 32C) my only advice would be: the urge to adjust and pull at the dress will be intense, but don't do it--fight the urge, it will all stay in place and tugging/pulling will just make you look uncomfortable in it (definitely wear with confidence); and the sizing is UK, so be aware of that

This dress was incredible & everything about it was perfect. I did read in a few comments that there is an inner bust lining that folds up and you can see the slight bunching of fabric under the bust, but I really didn't have that issue. I got so many compliments all night and even days after about how beautiful the dress was on me. Hands down you should rent this. Also, my notes say I rented the 38R, but it was in fact the 38L- and that worked for me (I'm 5'4", wore 4" heels)

This dress was a perfect fit- it gave me a defined waist and showed just the appropriate amount of skin. I dressed it up with heels, though I can see me wearing this dress again with sneakers and a leather jacket! The red is so much more vibrant in person- it's lovely. It is a bit low cut the way it wraps in the front, so if you have a larger chest I would suggest fashion tape.

Wore this dress to a formal event & got so many head turns! It was simply stunning, and perfect for twirling:) Ordered smallest size & fit like a glove, wore seamless panties underneath- the only mishap/issue would be that someone who had worn the dress before had MUCH bigger boobs than me, the chest was a bit stretched, so I had to throw on a double layer of sticky boobs (ha, everyone I know calls them 'cutlets') and used skin tape to keep everything up since now my boobs were being weighed down. It was quite hilarious having my husband help my tape everything up so I could fill out the dress, but in the end, nobody even knew what was going on underneath.

At an event with 160k+ people, I was by far the best dressed! Received tons of complements nonstop from both men and women. The color & structure of dress is even more gorgeous in person. Note that the sizing is European. One of the reviews said they received the wrong size, but the numerical size is bigger. I rented a EU 6, normally wear a US 0, and this fit like a 0/2.

The fit was perfect. I love the slightly loose-body-skimming fit. The cut accentuated the shoulders and neck beautifully. The hint of sparkle was a nice touch. I used the gold rope belt that came with the dress- I kind of fiddled with the placement of it- front, side, in the back, a bow or no bow, but I decided on a simple knot to the side. I received a ton of complements in the sea of black and red at the gala.

It was perfect. The color is a deep plum, and complements just about every skin color. It was very fitted throughout, so if you are self conscious about any part of the body, this dress is not for you. Even with the ruching, it is snug and not forgiving. Having said that, it is surprisingly comfortable. I will say my only gripe had to do with the one shoulder strap. It was extremely long, and I had to do a macgyver tuck, twist, pin thing to it. Other than that, it was great.

This dress was so flattering, and the color was vibrant. Some of the reviews I read said something about the color on the front on the dress not being the same, however I was not disappointed in the least as to its appearance and color. It does fit like a glove, so if you order a back up size, go up.

It was a great black dress for the occasion, and the back was definitely the best part. I received numerous complements. It does hang a bit like a shift dress...not sure if that is the way it should fit, and the bow on the bottom was a bit floppy. Fortunately, I think I was the only one who was bothered by that little detail. It is plain enough to wear some killer heels with it, and it won't distract from the dress.

I loved this. I ordered it as a back up dress, thinking that I was curious to see it on, but did not think I would wear it out. I ended up falling in love with this style. It was so flattering, and made me appear more voluptuous than I am. The color was great, also. The fabric was thin, so wear 'invisible panties' and a good strapless bra.

I ordered two different Helmut Lang dresses, this one was too big on me. It was the fit/draping of the dress that seemed to swallow me. I think a taller person with curves could pull it off.

Apparently, my first choice size was stuck at the cleaners, so they sent the second size anyways. My first size was a 0, the second a 2, and unfortunately the 2 was too big. There was no time to get a new dress delivered, so I was unable to wear it to my function, which was a bummer. Although the entire situation was disappointing, I will say that the dress looks exactly as it's pictured. It's a beautiful shade of navy/royal blue, and the detailing on the chest and the skirt hem are delicate and really stand out.
