I got this dress in both the 8 and 6 but since the bodice is so stretchy/adaptable, both fit fine it; it mostly boiled down to how much extra fabric I wanted. The skirt is pretty full and the slit is high but since there was enough fabric it wasn't really a big deal in my opinion. I ended up choosing a different dress to wear for my event but this one was still cute! I think I chose the other one because this had a bit too much fabric for my taste and I would've appreciated a little more support in the bust. Some might not like the bumpy bodice, kind of lumpy. I wore this for an evening work fundraiser that was a step or two below black tie, but fancier than casual. I usually am a size 6 or 8 but by the time I ordered it only the 4 was available so I had low expectations that this would fit — but the 4 fit perfectly. The back is stretchy and the fabric is thick and high quality so I didn't need to wear a bra. Of COURSE I loved having pockets so I could carry my phone with me or keep my hands warm! I got lots of compliments on this dress — definitely worth renting!!
