I am usually a 4 or 6, and I wore the 6. It was form fitting, but with the heavy and lined fabric, it was also very forgiving. I wore the strap tucked in, as many others have, and I liked that look the best bc the open back was flattering. There is a zipper at the bottom of the skirt (in the back) which was not noticeable, but a nice feature for when you ahve to climb stairs and need a bit more space! I've noticed that others have wished the skirt was a bit shorter--I can understand that, but the longer skirt does create a nice silhouette (hour-glassy).

Beautiful colors in this dress, and very unique look. The fit was not perfect for me, in that the waist was a bit high and fitted, leading the area below the waist to sag a bit. The fabric was paper thin, which is fine as long as you don't sweat. All in all, a very nice dress. Just take care to think through your body type and weather before choosing this option.
