Not the right style for me.
This is a very body-con dress. I decided to step out of my comfort zone and give it a try but I very quickly went back to my comfort zone. Just not my style.

Super cute and flattering!
I'm loving this dress - my husband will love the key hole in front. You definitely can't wear a conventional strapless bra with this dress, like other reviews have advised. It's flattering and comfortable. I'm 5'6 so the length isn't too short (hits me a little below mid thigh). Perfect dress for my Mexico vacation!

Not liking this fabric...
I love the style of this dress but the fabric was heavy and the pattern was a little weird. The colors were pretty but the pattern looks "printed" onto the fabric versus woven into it. I didn't wear it.

Cute dress but fabric makes it just okay.
I got this dress to wear on vacation but it was really just okay. The style is really flattering and true to Nicole Miller sizes (I normally wear a 4 in this brand and did in this dress too). But the fabric was just okay to me. I think it must photograph well. I returned it to find something with more of a "wow" factor.

This is comfortable, lightweight and flattering! The fabric is stretchy but in a good way. Tons of compliments on it.

Got this dress to wear to the Kentucky Derby and it's perfect! I love the embroidery and the neckline. I'm 5'6 and it hit right above my knee.

Beautiful but fabric is not very forgiving
Rented this dress for the Kentucky Oaks (everyone wears pink). It's super-comfortable and the fabric is actually heavier than you'd expect but it's a little clingy across the abdomen. Might be that I'm a little sensitive to this area...but I threw on some Spanx that smoothed everything down just fine.

A little weird.
This dress looks beautiful in pics/online but is a little weird in reality. It's smallish in the waist (I have a 27 inch waist and was trying on the size 6) and really big on top (I'm a 32DD). I usually have the opposite problem on top. The fabric is also different than I expected. The flowers look more like screened-on pictures than a print. There's also a silvery overlay that you don't see that much online. And I didn't care for the texture. It was a little stiff but I'm sure that's necessary for it to drape well. Altogether, I did not care for it and did not wear it.

I've never tried on the Black Halo brand but always thought the clothes were beautiful. I was excited to wear this to a work event/party. It looked great out of the box but turned into a traumatic experience trying it on. I got a 6 because size 4 wasn't available (I wear a size 4/small @ Anthro). I figured I wouldn't mind it big a little bigger for a work event. First, the zipper sticks at the waist. My husband was afraid to pull too hard to zip it up. That does not do much for your self-esteem/wanting to feel sexy. I put on my smallest waist cincher and finally got it zipped up. I think even a size 8 would have been tight. I didn't wear it and spent the rest of the day worrying about what I ate.
