All the reviews said to size up, and I would agree! The 6 zipped but left zero wiggle room for food and dancing (which is like, the whole point of a wedding, duh!). That said, the 8 had some extra fabric in not-so-flattering places*, but it was comfortable and I received many compliments! The fabric is thick and the color is lovely. *would likely be remedied by the presence of hips, which I do not have; unsure of whether smaller or larger boobs would have fixed the gapping on the sides of the top
