Love the pattern of this shirt, and that it’s made of breathable lyocell! However one downside to renting the newest things (to prevent quality control issues) is you don’t get info on sizing issue... I got this in XL and feel like I could wear on top of football pads 😱 I ended up wearing it, but if I had seen the full length picture before I left the house I sure wouldn’t have! It adds volume in the wrong places as well, which unless done right, peplums tend to do. I think the peplum plus bell sleeves are just too much.

It’s just an ok dress for me... I think a thin black belt would do wonders for adding more definition to my waist. Pros: it is very comfortable and made of a great fabric. It has a on trend tassel detail in the front. The top can be tied tighter or looser and I loved the length! It runs large - I’m a Lane Bryant 18 on bottom and a 16 on top in most RTR brands. I’m wearing the XL, it goes to an XXL but I sized down based on reviews. I think it’s a great end of summer option, suitable for many occasions!

I just tried this on in a size 18... a size 16 dress by Christian Sirrano fit perfectly (except armholes), but it was an empire waist. So I sized up... The fit: the smallest part of waist fit my 39” waist so I was hopeful. I’ve been so excited to wear this on a date! But once I zipped it up - there was A BUNCH of room at the chest. Like I’d need to size down to a 14 in this top to fit my 38D chest 😲 But there’s no way a 14 would fit my waist. The fabric has a tiny bit of stretch but not enough for the 14 to fit. So I guess if you’re a strong hourglass shape it may work for you! But it’s a no go for me 😢

With our current heat wave I’m LOVING this 100% cotton Joie maxi dress. I took a risk as the largest size is a L, but it ran big from reviews and IT FIT! 👍👏👏👏 I should have taken a side view - it’s really flattering and sliming due to not too much fabric (plus size designers take note - just because- or especially because- we are plus size we DO NOT need 10 yards of fabric in a skirt!! I am a 36D, 39” waist and 49” hips. It *just* fit but I was comfortable in it. There is no stretch to the fabric but it does stretch out a bit as you wear it. I wore without and with a bra - I prefer it with a bra, and it allowed me to use fashion tape to keep the straps up and I think it just looked better with support for the girls 😀

I ordered this with RTR Reserve for a potential dress to wear for my Uncles “Celebration of Life” ceremony. I wasn’t able to go but kept the dresses to try on for later dates nights, events, etc. This dress... well, you can tell from the pictures how I felt about it!! It was probably a size too small, I’m wearing a 16, but fabric was very stretchy, but still with good construction. Polyester but with the design of the top, I think not too hot. For the back - I just had to place my strapless bra band a bit lower so it wouldn’t show. The straps fell down several times, but I’m guessing that’s bc I’m wearing a size too small... a larger size would hang better. Will definitely rent again!

I just loved everything about this dress except I had the wrong size 😢!! I had a size 18W as I’m an 18 on bottom. It was maybe one size too big on bottom and two sizes too big on top. I generally do not rent sheath dresses bc of problems sizing but this was a back up. I will definitely try it again for a special date night! The dress: I loved the choker style, and the flutter sleeves. The entire dress is made from embroidered material that is just gorgeous! The fit: I think it ran big, but again I’m not familiar enough with the designer to know my size. I took one picture with the waist pulled in to see if I could create a waist with this one... I’m not sure it’s possible but I may be wrong if I had the right size...??? It was super comfortable and there was nice room in the neck so you don’t feel choked! The fabric is on the heavy side so maybe better for a Fall/Winter indoor event.

I had SUCH HIGH HOPES for this top!!! So I’m looking at the picture and it’s not too bad on me... it’s just not great. And NOT easy to wear - there are two sets of super long strings - GREAT FIT IDEA but it just took me 10 mins to undo knots then adjust strings for my best fit. After all that I noticed the “poof” between bra line and stomach 😱 the very worst place for me! I may have been able to get rid of that by letting strings out... but then not as flattering... I’m really picky as I don’t get out much so when I do - I want to look as good as possible... I think this top looks fabulous on just the right body. Sadly it wasn’t mine.

I read the reviews- small arms... but I tried a 2XL and I can wear a size 16 in shirts. So... It looked nice so I gave it a try, and proceeded to get STUCK in it! My forearms barely fit in the upper arms of the top of this dress. I truly believe there was a problem with construction of this dress. I liked this one, but reserve my 5 stars for things I feel are truly beautiful. I wore this Tanya Taylor top to a BBQ last night and loved it. It was nice a cool (cotton), and I felt great in it. The jewelry may have been too dressy for it or event, but I wore it anyway 😍 Notes: I’m wearing a 14 and am a 38D, other reviewers noted straps falling off - I noticed they had been sewn up 4”. So I didn’t have that problem. I chose to wear a strapless bra. Others noted about snaps for straps, but mine didn't have them. I could have done without the sleeves but I guess they balanced it out.

Ok... stick with me here 😀 First, this dress missed the ironing station at RTR. Wrinkled everywhere. But I knew I wouldn’t wear it so... it’s a size 20 and I could probably size down to a 16 (my normal top size but wasn’t sure with a dress...). Picture shows it as designer intended. Top part pulled straight. This makes the waist hit my upper hips instead of waist: would a smaller size make it hit my natural waist?? I think this dress adds weight to curvy women. But for size 8 and down, it would be darling (women who could want some volume added on bottom).

Hmmm, I’m the only one who doesn’t love this dress 😐 One issue - this is an 18, and I think for the top to be fitted as designed, I need a 16. But even if I sized down, the style just isn’t for me. It adds 20 lbs on me 😩 Even if I had a correct fit - I think the top is too boxy for me. When I unwrapped it, I thought the top looked like it belonged on a uniform of some sort. I’m also uncomfortable with how high it goes on the sides, side view shows this. I would have to arrange it carefully when I sat down!! I DO like the color! And maybe if it were a tank dress it might have worked for me... but IMO it adds weight so it would only work if you’re a straight body and WANT to add volume to your frame.

After much debate, I decided to wear these to Mass. I would NEVER have picked them myself, but got the courage from members who like me are trying to stretch the limits of their fashion comfort zone! The pros: they do look fun, cute from a distance. My husband loved my ass in them (👍👏👏👏). To most, there would be no obvious construction issues. They were so EASY to wear, but I should have worn some slip shorts with them so they looked great with frequent sit, stand, repeat of a Catholic Mass (😀). I think they would look better with a pair of heeled sandals vs wedges. TTS? I’m wearing XL but probably should have sizes up so pleats hit in correct place (I’m an 18 in Lane Bryant jeans). Cons: material itself is... well, as one reviewer said “more my grandma’s era than mine”. It’s polyester, printed and then has a 3D pattern on it. They are warm bc of fabric weight and type. As a seamstress- waist is a 3” encasement, and 3” elastic would have been great. BUT THEY USED 1” elastic - WHAT?? I feel like the only way a store would still receive these pants and sell them would be for plus sized woman (bc we are thankful for anything cute)... Also, I would call these capris, not culottes- the final picture is what I’d call culottes - lots of extra FLOWY fabric. Like silk. This is what I’d like to see in plus size RTR! Oh... highlight of this outfit was a reason to wear my latest favorite casual turquoise earrings- hence close up to show them off 😍 Anthropologie.

Loved this tank! I would have given 5 stars, but XL was way too big and L was tight on my 36D chest. L would have been a perfect fit if straps were 1/2 inch shorter, or if I were a 34C (I'm 5'9" with average proportions).
