this dress was a little different than anything i had rented before, a silhouette that was totally new for me and i liked it! the fullness of the skirt could only have worked at this length, it was by no means cupcake-like as i thought it might be. the fabric while not super heavy felt quite luxe and the gold dots added just a little touch of something different to an otherwise plain style. i liked that it could be worn with a regular bra and that it amped up my not-so-ample bosom. the built in strap holders were perfect for dancing all night without having to worry about a malfunction. the arm holes did rub a bit on the underarm area which is an issue i often have being taller-bodied. but overall a really great dress that worked well for a wedding at a denver art gallery.

The fabric, color and shape are all fabulous and when standing it's an A+ look. But...the second I sat down I realized its short comings. The neckline choked me, the hemline has no stretch and the bust became loose and unflattering. As gorgeous as the peplum looks on the model, in real life it is far more limp, I kept trying to fluff it up to no avail. Great dress, terrible functionality. Also, way to heavy and not breathable for a summertime party. (My bad!)

i wore this style for my bridal shower and was very pleased with the overall look. due to an unfortunate shipping error i did not receive my backup size which would have probably been a better fit (it actually came the day after i shipped my return!) other than the slightly looser fit the length felt exactly as shown in photos and the fabric was thick enough to be worn on a cold march day. the color is a beautiful ivory/cream and the fit i found very flattering. definitely would recommend!

this dress was fun to wear for a cocktail wedding and actually a lot longer than it appears on the model. the fabric is not very forgiving and will show every bump and ripple so if you're worried about smoothness definitely opt for shapewear. i was able to wear a strapless underneath but there's not a lot of leeway with the shear being so low. i really liked that it had sex appeal without actually being too skin-baring. because i thought the S fit better than the M i did sacrifice a little leg mobility and the arms and neck were slightly tighter than necessary but the overall fit felt better. one weird note: i had a really hard time going to the bathroom in this dress, it's easier to just take the whole thing off than wrestle with pulling it up. i would still recommend it, cute dress, many compliments.

i have been renting the runway for over a year now and as most of my friends and family know, i'm obsessed. my mom has been suspicious from the start so i rented her a dress to wear to my cousins wedding in lieu of the same old black dress from the back of her closet she always pulls out. she had so much fun wearing this dress, it made her feel great and it looked great on her! i can definitely tell she liked how bright the blue was, she felt special and beautiful all night. her one complaint was that the zipper was tough to get up and i agree...i've noticed that with other BM gowns. (a minor hiccup for such a gorgeous dress!) i think she'll become a convert. fit notes: she usually would be swimming in a 10 but the waist/bust fit pretty snugly, she wore a shaper and that seemed to help it feel more comfortable but she did say it was a little tighter than she thought it'd be.

sadly i did not get to wear this dress to my event as planned. the size 6 (which would have fit PERFECTLY was returned in what RTR said was "horrible" condition from the previous renter. i just don't know how bad that has to be but it must be worse than what a routine dry cleaning can fix... unfortunately the size smaller fit just too snugly under my arms and was just too uncomfortable for me to stand. (it was fine if i stood still though!) i loved the shape and the fabric, it's very comfortable and stretchy and the pattern is so unique and funky i just loved how it looked. i would rent for another event in a heartbeat but it seems the size 6 has been taken out of commission which is such a shame. ladies, respect these dresses so we can all share the RTR love!! please?

this dress had some highs and lows. first off, it was very difficult to put on alone...the strings needed to be readjusted in order to zip it up and then it takes a good deal of time finding the right tautness to keep the dress up without squeezing too tight on your back. now, once it is on, yes it looks super sexy, the cut is flattering and the length was perfect for my height, hitting just below the knee. my biggest issue was the sizing actually...the 6 fit well except there didn't seem to be a long enough string for me to fit it properly, i have a feeling the ends were cut off by another wearer or a dry cleaner because they were so short that i couldn't even tie them off at the bottom. definitely unlike the long, drapey, loose bow in the photo of the model. the size 4 had a much longer string which made the top more comfortable and it actually fit better, but the bodice was too short on my long frame and looked a little weird, hence why i went with the 6. overall i felt really sexy but i was nervous about the strings popping out of the loops and my whole dress falling to the floor all night. also, because i couldn't do much adjustment to the bodice due to the short strings, once i finished up at the cocktail hour it fit quite snug and was less than comfortable while sitting. i would recommend this to girls with no boobs, cause a bra has no place in this dress.

i wore this to a daytime event and accessorized with a skinny belt around my waist. first off this dress is great. the color is great. the length is great. the fabric is great. it's overall, great! the sleeves fit a bit tight, definitely not as they appear on the model but the fabric has so much stretch it wasn't a real issue. the fabric itself is so interesting and beautiful and the stretch factor allowed for several trips back to the buffet. i don't know how this would fit on a girl who is more petite but on myself it hit just above the knee and the shoulders were a bit narrow, i need to adjust the sleeve/shoulder area several times during the day. it was nice to be able to wear regular undergarments but if you're feeling lumpy this dress is not super forgiving; opt for spanx if you'd feel more comfortable. i'd definitely rent this dress again, it looks great with black or nude accessories and it definitely gained a lot of compliments.

this dress is fun, comfortable and a beautiful shade of plum purple. i wore it for my brother-in-law's daytime wedding in october and it felt like the perfect choice. as a tall girl it did feel a little short while dancing and i would have to be mindful of sitting down but it wasn't anything i couldn't easily deal with. the shift shape was very forgiving but i could see how some women would prefer shape wear just for an overall smooth look. i was happy to have a little extra room around my belly after eating all day. overall i received many compliments, my boyfriend loved how much leg i was showing, and i felt pretty in this style. i would definitely recommend it for this fall/winter.

let's talk about fit...i'm 5'11" and pretty slender, flat chested and straight hipped. this dress was very huggy on my boobs so i'm not sure how it would fit a larger bust but in that instance I'd recomment sizing up. the color is fabulous! i usually stick to a darker palette (navy, black, navy, black) but this wedding called for something a little more summery and bright. the ombre adds a lot of oomph to an otherwise simple style, it was very fun to dance in all night. i really had a lot of fun wearing this dress, the length was perfect and i'd highly recommend it for any summer or springtime event.

loved this style...it fit like a glove, wasn't too short and had just the right amount of sparkle and edginess that i love. this dress is very fun, sexy and pretty flattering. the only problems i had with it were it cut into my shoulder/armpit area when sitting down and the hem of the overlay didn't quite match up with the liner. it was nice to be able to wear regular underpinnings although if you're worried about ripples and ridges definitely opt for some spanx. overall i received a lot of compliments and i felt like a super star. at a black tie wedding where a lot of women were wearing gowns i still felt fancy enough without having the extra skirt length. i would definitely rent this style again but i think it's more fun to keep trying all the other fab dresses rtr has to offer. another successful rental!
