Dress was cute & the cut out, one shoulder gave it something extra. I liked the skirt volume and pockets. Otherwise it was pretty basic. Very light weight cotton (which was good for the heat), but felt like something I could buy at Old Navy. It says it's a navy floral but it was black. Main flower detail is a burnt orange. Tricky zipper, so I put some Vaseline on it. I'm always a 4, but ordered a 6 b/c it's a designer brand & it fit. I'm 5'7, size 4 and 34D. I didn't get a ton of compliments.

I rented it to test for a future event and didn't love it. It looked a little worn and I looked like a line backer. I have a big chest and have pretty toned arms, so maybe that's why. I'm a size 4 (138 lbs, 34 D, 5''7") and the M was perfect. I'm normally a small/4, but a M translated to that in this designer brand.

This was a cute dress with an interesting neckline. It ran a little big, but not in and an attractive way. The color is striking. Perfect for the holiday time of year. Very comfortable and easy to get in and get out of.

It was sparkly, but not too over the top. The open back is great. It scratched a little under the arms, but not terrible. I was comfortable all night - even after eating a heavy meal and while dancing. This fit true to size and actually was a tiny bit big. I didn't wear a bra and it was totally fine. I'd recommend this dress for a Mardi Gras or New Year's Eve event - or maybe a night in Vegas.

I loved this dress. It fit my body perfectly and wasn't uncomfortably clingy. Instead of that tight, clingy sweater material which usually causes me to feel self conscience about breathing or eating all night, the scuba material of this dress hugged my body in the right way and held everything in. I was able to eat AND breathe! It was so comfortable. The only tiny issue is that it's hard to get on and off. There is no zipper, so you have to pull it on and off over your head and it's difficult. But nothing that would preclude me from wearing this dress a million times. I am a standard size 4/Small, 34D chest, 5'7", 137 lbs, athletic and I wore the 40R. Based on reviews, I was worried when the 40L wasn't available. Thank goodness it wasn't because the regular length was almost too long - and I was wearing 4 inch heels. The color wasn't a bright red, more a cranberry red. I wore nude strappy heels. I totally recommend this dress. Enjoy!

I am a solid 4, but I realize cocktail dresses often run small. This one was extremely small. I could not even wear the back up size without feeling a little trashy. It was very form fitting with no stretch, and my cleavage was all over the place. For reference, I'm a size 4 in average retail stores, 27/28 waist, 34D, 5'7", 140. The color was also much darker than it appears in the picture. I expected berry, this was burgundy. I sent this one back unworn.

I wore this to a large horse racing event in Nashville and it was the perfect choice. The color and style stood out in the crowd, and I got many compliments. I'm athletic, 5'7", size 4, 138 lbs, 34D, and the fit was great. I have a large chest and was worried because my back up size wasn't available, but my normal size ended up working out fine. I probably could have stood a smidge more room in the chest because it did pucker ever so slightly at the side zip, but no one noticed and it wasn't uncomfortable at all. The dress hit about 4 inches above my knee. However, I wore flat sandals as required for my event, so it may have appeared shorter if I would have worn heels. I didn't wear a bra, but a strapless or racer back would probably be necessary. The material is light and the lower back hemline actually had volume that made it "poof" out like I had hoped - rather than just lay flat. It was also lined, so nothing showed when I sweat on a hot May day in the south. All in all a great experience with Rent the Runway. The dress arrived on time, was clean and pressed, and the return process was easy.
