Love this dress! I wore it to my HS reunion. The fit is just right and I really liked the pattern on the fabric. Also the length worked very well for my height. The fabric is definitely thinner than I expected, as the quilting in the photograph kinda makes it look thicker. I wore spanx though and it was fine! Spent the night eating and dancing and felt secure and happy in it!

I can't say enough good things. This dress is perfection. The fabric is AMAZING (reminds me of a neoprene laptop case - in a good way, because it hides every flaw!). The blue color is super blue and really makes you stand out. There is a little bit of a train at the bottom, but because the fabric is so thick, you almost never step on it. The length was also perfect for me at 5'10 with three inch heels on. If you have a booty and a really nice neckline, this dress will accentuate it. Again, can't say enough good things. I wish I could wear this to every event. I felt like I was in pajamas except with 800 compliments.

I was so close to wearing this dress. The fabric is awesome (super stretchy and comfortable) and the neck line is really flattering. It would have been great to dance in and I probably would have gotten compliments on it. Ultimately another dress won my vote, but I would have worn this one in a heartbeat! Maybe next time! If you're concerned about it, the decorative feature underneath the arm is really discreet. Your skin barely shows! I had on nude spanx underneath and you couldn't see them.

This dress is gorgeous. The fabric sits beautifully, the color is great, and the bodice shapes your upper body really well. I would have worn this dress except that the slip underneath is ultra tight, and the slit up the leg was actually torn upwards way too high. The dress would have had no slip by the end of the night if I wore it! That aside, if you have pretty small hips and thighs, this may be the dress for you.

I think the photo makes it clear that this is not a trendy or fancy party dress, so I don't think anyone should expect that. This dress is just what it looks like - it is casual, and has a "shirt dress" vibe. The fabric is thin and airy but high quality, and I'd say the colors are exactly as pictured - great for summer. This dress didn't make sense for my particular event, but I would have worn this when it's warmer out, perhaps to a bridal shower, or a day party. This dress also suits my personal style, so I would probably wear it out to a casual birthday or a night out at the bar with some gladiator sandals. I definitely recommend this dress - but for the right occasion! Also, the dress worked for my height and size. Not sure how the smaller sizes will fit on a more petite person.

These are beautiful! The size did not bother me at all - I was pleasantly surprised that they were so big. I wore them with an all black outfit with no other jewelry besides a watch. They are clip-ons, but I didn't notice they were hurting me at all until I actually took them off at the end of the night, and then I was kinda like "oh, ouch!" But it only lasted a minute. My ears didn't actually hurt during the evening at all. Would totally rent these again.

This is a very, very beautiful, well-made, formal gown, and it has pockets!!!!! Hallelujah!! The fabric is very costumey (in a good way!), and has many, many layers to it, which causes the skirt to have a very full look. I received a ton of compliments on it. The color of this dress makes it very easy to accessorize -- I kept it VERY simple and only went with big earrings and a ring. Some general cautionary thoughts and/or tips re: this gown - - The fabric can be a bit uncomfortable to the touch - I do not recommend dancing the night away in this, but I suppose it wouldn't be too bad. I was at a ballet event, and even resting my forearm on my dress during the performance was a little uncomfortable. - Because of all of the layers in this dress, I do not recommend wearing this in the heat, especially if you are outside. I was indoors in the air-conditioning and sweating a little bit. When I took the dress off at the end of the night, the skirt was actually hot on the inside, because it does not breathe. Still worth it though.... - This dress was PERFECT in a 10L for my height at 5'10. I wore 2 1/2 inch heels and the dress grazed the floor. - The V-neck, as you can tell from my photos, is not as dramatic as it looks in the photograph. So if you're worried about it being revealing, it definitely isn't, at all. And if you are LOOKING for revealing, fret not, because the back exposure is such a cool feature of this dress!! Overall, fabulous experience. Highly recommend this dress for a formal event. Would NOT wear this dress to anything less than a formal/black tie affair.

I rented this dress and the Robert Rodriguez Avril dress for a formal event. I ended up choosing the Avril, but if I were a LITTLE thinner, and if I were going to the after-dinner at this event, I absolutely would have worn this gown. I also wanted to wear my hair down which made more sense with the Avril. (Read: Hair should be worn up with this gown!) The fabric is light and flowy and flexible. The back is open and the front is sexy but also modest at the same time. I am very tall (5'10") and the long length was PERFECT with a 3-4 inch heel. I could have even worn taller heels if I wanted, but probably nothing below 3in. If you are tall, this dress is a must-wear! I am determined to rent this again and actually wear it. As mentioned previously, I highly recommend wearing your hair up w/this dress. The detail on the back and front of this gown is BEAUTIFUL and should not be hidden. In particular, the button in the back that fastens at the neck is so tiny, but it's very shiny and does stand out.

This dress is absolutely fabulous - if you're going to an event, and you're worried about comfort, wear this dress. It fits true to size, it's VERY flattering, and the fabric feels great (not too heavy). It also hides any "tummy" issues. My creds say that I am 148 lbs but I'm approaching 160 right now, and the dress still fit wonderfully (so perhaps the dress actually runs big? But I didn't notice!). I would recommend this dress to ANYONE, but I would take special note that I have a small bust, and the fit on top was snug (in a good way). If you have a larger bust, I'm not sure it would fit properly.

I wore this dress to the NYC Ballet Gala. It was incredibly comfortable, but still felt chic. Great for an event where you have the option to wear a ballgown, but might prefer to wear something a little more comfortable and dressed down. It's also the perfect length - not "too" sexy, and very classy. My only complaint would be that the forearms were a little tight! And I have slender arms, so that could be an issue for someone who doesn't. Do not be fooled by the picture - the fabric has a very pretty pattern on it. It's not just cotton. This was good for hiding mild imperfections. I was able to wear spanx under this, and because it's got the pattern, you couldn't see the waist line of my spanx (which I always worry about when a dress is a little on the tighter side). Would totally rent this again! Sidenote: I'm normally an 8, but was able to wear this in a 6 because it runs large.

Loved this. Tiny bit uncomfortable on the wrist because it's a little heavy, but fine if you move it around here and there. It's a magnet-close, so I'm not sure if I'd recommend it for a night of dancing -- but it would probably be okay for that, too.

This is a beautiful dress. I would have MUCH preferred to wear the 6L to fit my bust, but the 6L was drastically longer in length than the 8L (weird?), and although I'm very tall at 5'10", the 6L was the appropriate length for a much taller woman! That being, said, the 8L was a little large on my bust. If you're tall like me, but have a small bust, I recommend going with the size 6. Fortunately, my event did not involve dancing, so I was able to deal with pulling up the dress here and there. If you are super tall (i.e. 6'0"+), and around a size 6, the 6L will be perfect for you! I also highly recommend this dress to anyone of a regular height who doesn't have to worry about the length issue, because other than that, this dress had no flaws. I do want to note that the 6L had a few stains on it which would have likely prevented me from being able to wear it anyway. I hope that this will be addressed so other buyers do not have to worry. I had to order this dress as an "emergency" -- in other words, my other two dresses did not fit -- and the customer service was flawless. I spoke with someone who set me up with longer length dresses, and even helped me pick out jewelry. I wore Alexis Bittar earrings and a bracelet, and felt like a million bucks! Thank you, RTR.

I rented this dress for a gala, and even my backup dress didn't work, but customer service at RTR is flawless, and I had a new dress delivered to me within 24 hours (which worked out beautifully, btw). Anyway, this dress is designed for a very small person! The 6L wasn't even an option (and I can usually squeeze in, or even wear a 6 comfortably!), and the 8L was riding up badly in the back because I have a booty. The length was definitely not long enough. If you have anything beyond a B cup, do not rent this dress. You will not fit into it! I am an A cup, and I would have been pushing it. If you are, in fact, a tiny person, this is an absolutely beautiful dress. Definitely darker in person, very silky, very soft and flowy fabric. Would have been honored to wear it if it actually fit me.

This dress was beautiful, comfortable, and very nice in person. I chose to wear something else, because the long wasn't "quite" long enough for me, but if I had to wear it, I gladly would have. Because I have a small bust, I would have preferred to wear the 6L, but I only had an 8L, and it was my backup dress so I did not have the 6L to try (although I'm sure the 6L would have been even shorter than the 8L). That being said, I still think that the dress runs true to size, because I have a very small bust. If you have a B-C, you will fit nicely into this gown.
