I feel conflicted about this dress! I ordered it as a backup and when I received this dress and the other one I ordered I actually loved the color! It's not totally gray - it definitely has a purple-ish tint to it. The color looked great on with a spray tan, but it might wash you out if you have a fair complexion. I was considering wearing it until I tried it on and was upset to see that it was too small! The dress itself actually has a really great shape. I am a little hippy and have a wider ribcage and it fit perfectly in the hips but was too tight around the stomach and ribs/chest area. I am typically a 2/4 in dresses, but I would order this dress in a 6/8. The length is a little shorter (and I'm on;y 5'4"), so I would consider this more of a cocktail dress than a dress that would be part of a professional wardrobe. I would actually order this dress to wear again, but just two sizes larger.

I wore this dress for a wedding rehearsal and it was by far my favorite rental to date. The fit: this dress runs true to size! I ordered it in the 2 and the 4 and ended up wearing the 4 just to be a little more conservative. The 2 also fit, but just was a little tighter at the bottom. Even with 4" heels, I never felt like I needed to pull it down because it was too short. I'm smaller chested and never had to worry about the stop falling down because my arms held it up. I had no problem raising my arms to dance either (I hate when off the shoulder dresses do that). The fabric: the color is absolutely stunning! I received a ton of compliments on the color alone. The fabric is thick enough to hide anything you may feel insecure about - I didn't even feel the need to wear spanx! If this is a dress that you're considering... do it! You won't regret it.
