This dress was gorgeous. It's described as teal but really it's more of a shimmery emerald color. Cut is very flattering - you may want to go long if you are my height and want the dress to go all the way to the floor.

On paper, it seems like this dress shouldn't work: stitching that bisects your lower torso horizontally, a capelet (?). However, when it's on and zipped up it inexplicably looks very nice - the upper half fit well and made me look good. The capelet hid my lily-white upper arms and added a small degree of formality, while also adding a twist when I was otherwise lost amid a sea of women wearing florals. I wore this to an outdoor spring wedding in Texas and it did the trick! Plus, dancing is (obviously) easy.

I wore this to a work-related holiday cocktail party in a historic setting. This dress is not only perfect for subtly standing out in a crowd (especially since the color was ideal for a holiday occasion!) but it's also remarkably flattering. It will hide your lower stomach and highlight your legs. I wore this without a bra without a problem (though I am somewhat flat-chested, A or B cup). The bell shape of the skirt nicely counterbalances the slim torso fit. I wound up pairing the dress with a black cardigan. I was worried with the reviews that it wouldn't fit me at all, since I am usually a 10 or 12, but the 10 actually did fit me comfortably - so there are a few people it fits true to size! Gorgeous, well priced, and suitable for many occasions (including occasions requiring relatively conservative dress - modest without at all being dowdy). Will make you feel beautiful.
