This dress truly has no shape - it just hangs on you. And given how low the armpits are cut, i couldn’t figure out how to wear support that made my boobs look normal.

Felt rich and classy
This item is easily dressed up and down - I wore it both to a work hearing as well as a weekend brunch. I *love* the gold buttons and the metallic threads woven into the jacket itself. Without those touches, it’d still be a timeless, if not unremarkable, piece. But IMHO the tasteful bling makes this jacket fresh, modern, and special.

Too large to wear
I am petite and find that most of the smallest sizes available within my RTR subscription are still too large for me, but these pants really have been the worst example to date. There’s no way for me to cinch in the waistband enough to be workplace decent and also not totally absurd. I rented the matching blazer as well, which I find hard to wear as a separate given these pieces’ distinct pattern. So that’s two items I can’t wear. I wish RTR had petite sizes!

I was not expecting to like this as much as I did! The puffed shoulders, slim torso, and speckled material are feminine and playful. Lots of compliments! I wore this at least five times :)

Nice fabric, slightly under-thought execution
The fabric on this is lovely, both in terms of its quality and the happy, summer print. Very welcome to warm up a grey San Francisco “summer” day. The execution of the dress itself falls short - like the designer did not have people try it on first. Like others, getting into the dress was awkward - I kind of stepped in through the side under the arm strap. And despite the theoretical fairytale detail that the fabric on the hips provided, it just kind of sat there. Too bad - a few design tweaks and this dress could have been so much more.

Well-made but cheap results
The quality of this item was better than I was expecting (I had low pleather expectations). On a cool San Francisco “summer” day, I didn’t at all feel like I was wrapped in unbreathable plastic. However, the lines on this were not flattering for my athletic build. The neckline plunged too low (I had to wear a tank top underneath). The rouching around the stomach did me no favors. And even with my short legs the hemline in the front went higher than I thought was age appropriate for me. Overall I felt cheap.

Effortless white pant I have been looking for
I was worried upon first try that these would be too loose and look big on my petite frame, but they never slipped down and never looked baggy. Quite the opposite - timeless silhouette, slimming but not restrictive, minimalist and yet a standout… Unlike how almost all white, flowy fabrics sit on me, the material on these is not so flimsy that my brown skin contrasts with the pocket linings. And these are COMFORTABLE - somehow just loose enough to felt like pajama pants without actually slipping down my waist. Huge bonus that the length was perfect for a shortie like me (which never happens). In all seriousness, I have been searching for a pair like this for years, and all but decided they didn’t exist until now. I am keeping these and making them a part of my capsule wardrobe. Yay!!!

RTR, why do you carry so few petite sizes? The idea of this dress was lovely, but the dress itself was just a little too big, long, low cut, etc in too many places. Overall, what would be a knockout on someone else fit vaguely awkwardly on me. It would need so many small adjustments that it wouldn’t be worth it to get it tailored.
