Surprisingly tight for shoshanna
Wore this dress work to drinks. Loved the pattern. Be warned that this dress is tight and narrows at the bottom. First time I put it on, it rolled down my underwear! But it stretches with time and because of the pattern is still very flattering, even if it's tight.

Feminine and flattering
Rented this for the jewish high holidays. Got many compliments. Dress held up nicely over the two days. It's super feminine and romantic. Dress has a great full dress sewn in under the lace. It's a little narrow from the waist through the hips. The lace makes it heavy than you might think. It was a 90+ degree, humid day the first time I wore it and I felt the weight of the dress by the end of the day.

Easy and effortless
Was this the most flattering dress I've ever worn? No. But it was just so easy to wear while still looking put together too. Material is like a loose scuba which was unusual. Needed to steam the sleeves to make them sit right. Would not suggest sizing down if you're a little bigger through the hips. A square knot or tie knot helps the belt sit a little better.

Surprisingly tight for Shoshana
Felt a little like a well dressed sausage in this dress. Wa some of two recent shoshanna rentals that seemed to run surprising tight...especially for an XL. It worked and fit fine but was glad I didn't size down to a L. Neckline details and asymmetrical hem add some cute details and certainly make the dress stand out. As noted in other reviews, the bottom stripe is lilac, not white.

Runs tight through the hips
Great dress for fall/winter. Perhaps a little dressier than I was planning to wear for work but the top is relatively conservative so it worked. Like the kate spade scallop dress. It was real tight form the waist through the hips...narrower than I was expecting for an a-line dress. Would be a great holiday party dress.

Lovely print, runs large!
Should have sizes down. This dress was loose in the waist and the bust for me. Wish I had gotten a 12, maybe even a 10. Overwhelmed my frame a bit since there is a lot of material and I am short. Nearly ankle length but that might have been mitigated if I had sized down. Super cute pattern. Great for summer.

Cute, preppy work dress. Narrow in the hips.
In kate spade's continued effort to make sure I never know what size to rent, this dress is fine on top for a busty gal but surprisingly tight through the hips and butt. It was still flattering but only because it was black. Cute scalloping are the top and the quality of the material keeps it from being too cutesy.

Cute dress but a little snug in the 12. It also felt a little young and little too pure for some nearing 40 with two kids. Could be a great bridal shower dress. Very impressed with the lining on the dress!

I LOVE this skirt. Maybe my favorite rental. Made my waist look teeny tiny. 50s vibe. Wore it to a big all-staff meeting and then again to temple. Compliments on both days. There is a lot of material to this skirt but it lays so well. Would necessarily wear it on a very hot day. Wrinkles but steams our easily. Was very close to buying.

Amazing, flattering dress
I can't believe I didn't grab a picture in this dress. I wore it three times, twice to work and once to temple. It is just a great dress. The top has great details. The soft ruffle at the bottom make it a little less severe. The material has a nice weight to it. I may have said that I felt like I was on my way to a very classy funeral. I took the advice of others and sized down. I am usually between a 12 and 14...my hips are definitely a 14....and this dress was perfect in the 12.

Gorgeous print, surprisingly resilient pleats
Wore this to a friends rehearsal dinner. Pleats survived and skirt didn't wrinkle on a long travel day, including a two hour flight. Felt effortlessly pretty. Only downside was that the waist was bigger than I wanted. Could have sized down (I wore a 48 and am usually a 12 in cinched waist skirts).

Cute fit and flare dress. Seemed a little over worn so fabric was showing wear. Shorter than I expected too and I am only 5'4". I would not suggest sizing down.

A ray of sunshine!
This may be my favorite RTR rental yet. I have no need to own this dress but it made me so happy to wear. It's easy, forgiving, and feels luxurious. The length and sway when you walk made me like a lady. Don't rent if you don't like people commenting on your outfit. This dress is not subtle. But it lights up a room and brings some colorful yet professional pep to any office. I will definitely rent again!

Preppy and a little quirky!
What a fun dress! It's preppy, fun and a touch quirky. The print and the flouncy bottom are super fun and still office appropriate. The high collar was an unexpected fan favorite. I was afraid it was going to be too tight around the bust but I had no problems wearing a normal bra and zipping up. I often say shoshanna is the kate spade for curvy girls and I have yet to be disappointed in a single dress of hers.

Great color, powerful dress
Great pop of color for a standard work dress. It's a little less forgiving that other Donna Morgan dresses. This is fitted through the hips/tush/thighs. Some smoothing undergarments will help and it is more flattering than the photo appears but I did feel like I kind of looked 5 months pregnant (I am not). But this is the kind of dress where it can look great and I can not look thin all at the same time. Like other Donna Morgan sheath dresses. it falls a couple inches below my knee. Would rent again.

Easy maxi dress, highlights waist, low-cut neck line
Such an easy, forgiving maxi dress. Stripes are slimming and I love the wider waist band which highlights hour glass figures nicely! Good length with 2" wedges (I'm 5'4") but otherwise I had to knot it on one side with flats. Busty gals, plan to wear a cami. I thought it looked cute with one. Wore to work on a casual day with no meetings and plan to wear over the Labor Day holiday.

It was fine.
This dress was fine. Best part is the super fun and colorful print. Not the most flattering leota dress I've rented. It was at once a little big on the top and a little tight on the bottom. I am not crazy about font slits generally, and wasn't on this either. Needed a slip but was hard to match to the slit. All in all, a solid "eh."

Striking and comfortable, a killer combo
I had a woman follow me out of Whole Foods to say how great this skirt was. And a stranger on stopped me on the street to compliment the skirt too. The skirt is easy to wear. I wore it twice -- once to work and once in the weekend with different black tanks. Midi-length came just above my ankle on my 5'4" frame. Skirt is more forgiving than it appears in the photo. Cons: it's a nearly floor length knit skirt so it is a little heavy but the thick waistband does most of the work, and I was very comfortable wearing it in mid-70 degree weather. And it is white knit so after two wears it was pretty dingy and I was happy to send it back to RTR for a cleaning!

Bold color, great fabric, tricky fit
Wore this for a couple big meetings. Pros: awesome color, cute but professional cut, modest length and chest coverage, didn't wrinkle. Cons: with badgley mishka, I knew I would have to choose between tight in the hips or loose in the waist/chest. I opted for the 16 when I usually wear a 12-14. Honestly, I don't know that I could have sized down and have it be flattering across my hips/butt/thighs but it was definitely a full size+ too big on top. A cropped black cardigan helped.

Like it's always been in my closet, wouldn't mind it staying!
This is one of those dresses that I just knew would work before I rented it and it totally did. Rock solid; easy choice for a day at the office. Pros: Print is adorable but doesn't read as inappropriate for the office. Looks great in photos. Doesn't wrinkle. Flatters hourglass figures. I love a good 3/4 sleeve. Slightly notched neckline helps it standout a little. Cons: perhaps a little forgettable but sometimes you want that at work. faux wraps are harder to get a perfect fit than actual wrap dresses -- felt like I wanted it a little tighter across my right side but couldn't make that happen. I knew I would need a cami and actually like that look but if you're chesty and you don't like camis, this dress would likely no longer be workplace appropriate!

Great pop of color, less than perfect fit.
I wanted to love this dress but just didn't. Pros: the color will put a smile on anyone's face! Comfortable fabric and doesn't wrinkle. Cons: the fit was just big in all the wrong ways on my hourglass frame. I think if I had sized down it would have been too short and too tight across my bust. In the XL, it was pretty roomy between my chest and my waist. Then the skirt just pooped a little too much a little too soon. It ended up reading boxy. Tips: a cardigan that ended at my hips helped create a better silhouette.

Gorgeous color, interesting neckline, forgiving fit -- perfect for work!
Pros: the color is amazing! More of a blue/green than in the photo. The neck detail adds visual interest to an otherwise pretty standard office shape. Dress does not wrinkle easy and is super comfortable but also very professional. Cons: a little long for my 5'4" frame. Wish it could be an inch or so shorter. Tips: For gals with thicker hips/thighs, I would size up if you're between two sizes. I am between a 12 and 14 and do not doubt the 12 would have zipped but I'd rather a slightly loose waist and a more forgiving bottom.

Classic, simple, gorgeous dress for work!
I am obsessed with this dress. I feel like a super put together varsity cheerleader (it's the box pleats) but in the best possible way. I got compliments for days. Am considering buying for sure because it could be such a staple. Pros: love the navy, the fact that it's fit and flare but has a bit of a drop waist, the length is perfect for me -- just at the mid-knee and I am 5'4", and looks great with ballet flats. Cons: candidly, I got the 12 and I usually wear a 14. It was tight in the chest and arm holes BUT i wore a minimizer bra and now it's perfect. I might try to rent in a 14 if I am really serious about purchasing but anticipate that may be too loose in the waist.

Stunning power dress; great for important meetings!
This is a beautiful, classy, dare I say almost sexy dress. Wore it to an important meeting and I definitely felt more confidant in it. Pros: the neckline is gorgeous and creates a gorgeous line with the higher neck and the longer, fitted length. The cut is fitted but roomy enough for my big chest. My racer back bra worked well with it. And the color is so dang pretty for summer/spring. Cons: it is tight through the hips and thighs. I hate wearing smoothing undergarments but had to wear some medium compression. The color while gorgeous is unforgiving, especially in photos. It won't be the dress that makes you look ten lbs lighter but listen as a size 14, I'd rather wear a beautiful dress than always wear black.

Great print, forgiving fit, fun swoosh
This dress is such an easy dress to wear to work. I don't usually gravitate toward midi length dresses but the skirt on this is great. Just a fantastic swoosh when you walk. The fit is forgiving/runs a little big. If you aren't busty, I think the top would be disproportionately large but my 36DDD bust was well covered. The tie at the waist brings some critical definition. The high neck is a nice touch but I felt a little choked by the weight of the tie. It certainly didn't make me look thinner than I am but on a hot summer day a classy dress with a bold print than is a great weight can't be beat. I paired it with a cropped cardigan for the office.

Great print but long straps!
Great print. Very flattering on a curvier body EXCEPT that I am short in the shoulders and the straps are long. The top of the dress therefore sat low and made it hard to pair with a bra that didn't show. I had to tie the dress tighter than I would have otherwise in hopes of keeping my bra reasonably covered which made it less flattering than it might have been otherwise. Still gots some nice compliments and it was a great weight to wear out for beers and a show on a hot summer night.
