I have now rented 3 sizes of this dress, and all 3 fit...the medium, large and XL...although the XL was wide around my torso. I kept going bigger to keep the material between the buttons from buckling out and showing my bra. However it must be a design issue because a bigger dress didn't help and even with a loose area around the torso that material still did not lay flat. As I was taping the back to my strapless bra, I thought to add tape to the buckled area and it solved the problem. Wish I'd thought of it sooner before wasting 3 rentals! Super cute dress though. My husband wants me to buy it!

This dress fit, but it just wasn't that cute. The fabric was thin and the ties used to cinch in the dress were flimsy. The length was short for me too. I wore it around the house but wouldn't wear it out. The zipper was fabulous though and the only part of the dress that felt elevated. It should be noted that the chest, even when cinched and tied, does not hold its shape when leaning over and shows EVERYTHING! Luckily I noticed before flashing anyone.

I wanted to love this dress, but it didn't quite work out. The zipper was difficult to get up, the waist was tight and buckled and the top was a loose on my DDD chest. The higher cut on the chest was a nice change so my chest wasn't front and center. But the buttons were just sewn on as decorative, which looked weird instead of faking they were functional. The fabric was also very thin and lightweight which felt inexpensive to me. I also had a difficult time managing the straps hanging down the back. They were just always in the way. I wore this dress for about an hour and gave up on it.

Although this dress fit just right overall, it was very odd, kinda tight, and unflattering cut across the chest. I still received compliments, likely due to the pretty fabric pattern, but I did not feel confident in it, especially when siting down. Sitting seemed to make the chest pull tighter across the chest and made my bustier frame look weird. Likely much better for a slender frame. Also, as others had mentioned, the lace areas are see-through and the dress is not lined. I found a perfect peach/nude full slip on Amazon and it was the perfect camouflage and could be pulled up over my chest without showing under the arms.

This dress was so comfortable, and very flattering, while still having a bit of modesty for the chest, which I appreciate now and again. The fabric was also thick enough that a slip was not a necessity. The fabric was soft and moved beautifully and it was casual enough to wear for errands. The zipper however was tricky and I could not get it zipped unless I pulled it in front of me, zipped it, twisted it, and put my flexible arms carefully through the straps. This dress is stunning and rivaled my wedding gown in how beautiful I felt wearing it!! When I first tried it on and walked into my husband's home office, he literally muted and turned off his camera during an important conference call to tell me how beautiful I looked in this dress. Afterwards he texted me to buy it! (Sadly I won't though because my shape and weight have recently changed due to complex spinal surgery and RTR has been my savior in helping me to feel beautiful again post 60 lb weight gain, as I slowly recuperate and find my new normal.) The fabric is gorgeous and elevates this black dress to a special status. Even my 18 year old was in awe of it! The shape is incredibly flattering, leaves room for a strapless bra, and the inside strap under the breasts provides more support to the style. I will wear this dress as often as possible, even if it's just to make my husband's draw drop again while in a meeting!

I was so excited to try on this dress and then was so disappointed when I got it on. The fabric color and texture were lovely but the fabric is VERY transparent. The skirt has a VERY short lining but even the lined area left nothing to the imagination. A slip may have helped but unfortunately the fit was not for me. The bunched fabric on the front of the dress does not wrap to the back of the dress (bottom arrow in image), and instead was one layer with a narrower shape which also made the back more see-through. This unique design would definitely be sexy on certain shapes, but revealed areas on me that I prefer to camouflage with flowing fabrics. Also the top is not lined and the detail on my nude bralette was visible, which detracted from the dress (top roe in image). This dress will be cute on a lot of people. It just wasn't for me.

This dress is super fun and comfortable. It was great for an easy look to run errands and go to appointments. It also taught me that yellow, as fun as it is, is not my color! The fit was good but it was a bit difficult to adjust and tie properly at first. I couldn't quite get the top positioned right or the bow to lay nicely. But with a bit of play, I ended up pulling it up higher and scrunching the fabric along the ribbon. However it still was low under my arms and a bandeau bra was difficult to hide (see picture). I only learned AFTER wearing it all day while braless that my nipples could be seen through the white flower petals. Oops! Now for the fabric...I'll share my 18 year old daughter's impressions. "Rain coat much? Also I can hear it and it's pretty annoying, even if it does warn me you're coming. Please don't wear that dress around me." At least she said please. But I wore it around her anyway. lol

I was super excited to get this dress, especially for the long length, since I am 6'1". The fabric was soft and the pattern was fun for a very casual, relaxed look (to me). However I did not wear this dress because it was not flattering at all on my body shape. The band across the chest cut across my girls in a very weird way, as did the band around my butt (see arrows in photo). I tried wearing it backwards, as I'd seen others do in the photo reviews, but that didn't work for me either. I am just not the right shape for this style. This dress is unique and a bit edgy while still being elegant. The fabric was beautiful and holds it form since the cotton has structure due to the pleats. I didn't mind this though because it was a nice change from most other maxi/midi dresses I wear with a full, flowing skirt. I did however mind that when I turned to the side my entire leg and dark thong were visible when I first tried it on. Maybe this is purposeful but the shear went all the way up to the seam under the belt I wore (dress did not come with belt in image). This transparency isn't evident from the front and back due to the thick pleated layers and the darker colors. The top was lined so transparency wasn't an issue. I don't understand why such a high end dress would not have a lining where it was obviously needed. The high/low shape of the skirt made finding a slip length difficult and unfortunately the slip length was very apparent (see arrow in photo) but imagine it without a slip. I wish someone would let me in on the secret of why this dress is see-through because I can't imagine that even a smaller figured person could make this look purposeful instead of just odd. However I only saw one other review mention wearing nude undergarments, which to me still wasn't enough camouflage, so maybe it is me? Or perhaps no one else saw themselves from the side? Overall I still enjoyed wearing this dress as a chic everyday look that was still comfortable. It wasn't as flattering on me as some dresses, because it does have a lot of fabric in places where I don't need any extra, but the unique style won me over. Maybe next time I'll try the dress in the purple version.

The fabric on this dress is wonderful! It’s thick enough to not be see through and the drape and movement is perfect. I’ve worn this dress styled with chunky tan sandal heels and with vintage Dr. Martins (in photo). It’s also super cute with a jean jacket thrown over it on cooler days. One thing to keep in mind is that the cut is a bit low under the arm, and my strapless bras were visible so I went braless. This has been one of my favorite RTR dresses so far and I’m going to miss it when I swap! It made a normal day feel a bit more special. 🌼

This dress was so adorable and I LOVED the feel of the silky fabric! However when I walked, the dress clung to itself between my legs, creating a weird diaper effect. (See arrow in picture.) Luckily I realized this issue at home and tried a few remedies, to no avail. Rubbing dryer sheets on the dress did not help, nor did pinning safety pins on the inside seams to discharge the electricity. Sadly I didn't wear it before swapping. I didn't see other reviews with the same issue so I hope this was just my luck and not a widespread issue. The other possible issue was the cut across the chest was a bit odd for my large chest, flattening my chest a bit, and not in the most flattering way. I could overlook this though because it was so cute and comfortable, but tugging at the skirt fabric to keep it from turning into weird diaper pants prohibited an enjoyable day of wear.

This dress fit me perfectly and was long enough for me at 6'1" and also covered my chest better than most dresses of similar style. The movement of the skirt was great but it is a lot of fabric so there was some care getting into and out of the car. I also love the braided straps, however they are long and not easily adjustable due to the thickness and did slip a bit. The weather was cool so I wore short heeled leopard print Chelsea boots and paired it with a dark brown vintage leather bolero jacket. The mix of elevated with casual was a great look for Sunday brunch. I'm looking forward to wearing it again and dressing it up a bit before a swap. I did need help zipping it though, because the zipper did not want to go over the seam without 4 hands holding everything in place. Hopefully this was a one-off issue but keep it in mind if you are getting ready solo.

Love, love, love this dress!! But….I initially had a wardrobe malfunction. The dress has a lot of fabric that drapes and moves beautifully. So I threw it on and ran out the door to my morning appointment. Then I sat down in a waiting area and the folds fell to each side exposing every bit of my legs from crotch to floor through the sheer one layer of fabric. The lining underneath didn’t even cover my butt!! Yikes!!! Luckily the dark color of the fabric didn’t reveal everything but my fair skin tone sure popped through. I quickly grabbed the other layers and flipped them up over my lap and the problem was temporarily solved. On the way out the sun was hitting me and I caught my reflection in the glass building and not much was disguised at all and it was obvious that my butt wasn’t completely covered by the under layer. 🤦‍♀️😂😂 Oops!!! I scurried to my car and home to change. Today I went round 2 and threw on some black footless tights. The dark tone under the dress offered more camouflage and the dress is long enough that the leggings didn’t show too much. This option is not ideal in ATX weather but luckily today is a bit cooler. Overall I still love this dress and have received so many compliments! For the tall girls with less booty than me or who love to strut what they got, this is a must have rental!! I’m just a bit too thick right now to personally rock that look.

Let me start by saying this dress is absolutely beautiful! The fabric is soft and comfortable, it’s appropriately lined (although I didn’t test it in the sun), and the pattern is perfect. I’m 6’1 and the dress is long enough to still be a maxi although I didn’t try the look with shoes. The size was perfect except… Unfortunately my girls were barely covered and the blue dots in the photo mark where my nipples were under the fabric. The slightest bend over and POP! There just was not enough fabric over the breasts for my girls. It should be noted too that the elastic covered straps have stretch, which was comfortable but didn’t help provide any additional support of the weight, causing the fabric to fold over a bit. If the chest had been a bit bigger, this dress would be a keeper. So if you’re a DD or larger, (I’m a 36DDD) this dress may not work unless you’re good with wearing a LOT of fabric tape.
