Pretty but didn't wear
Previously I'd ordered this in an extra small and I felt like a stuffed sausage. The small fit fine. Just keep in mind this runs small because I normally fit into an XS

I wore this dress to a fashion show fundraiser with sparkly boots and it was a hit. I'm petite but it wasn't too long on. It was just wide in the gorse and kept shifting so my bra would show.

I wore this to a work event. I'm usually a size 2. I wore it because it was in my possession, but would have needed a size 0. The arms were tight but the rest of the dress looked like a tent it was so big. I did get compliments on the dress but the correct size would have been more flattering.

A bit long for petite women
The dress fit okay overall, but the sleeves were a bit tight and the waist was loose. I'm about 5'3 and it was also a bit long. I wore it because I had it in my possession already but wouldn't rent again.

The 36 fit just right but was a little tight on my rear end. The 38 was huge but still didn’t fit right on my butt. Perhaps it would suit someone taller with less curves.

Runs small/VERY tight arms
I’m normally a size 2 and generally speaking the dress fits true to size, except the arms. The arms are so long and tight that the dress is uncomfortable to wear. I did end up wearing the dress but definitely don’t like it enough to buy it. The slit is very dramatic, but there’s a label on the inside of the dress that shows as you walk. I think RTR should remove it.

For reference, I'm 5'3 and weight about 123 lbs. It's also a bit bulky so keep that in mind if traveling. I liked the fabric though.

Warm but very puffy
I ordered this for a trip to Argentina last month and found myself picking it over another coat i'd ordered because it's so warm. I also liked that it has an interior pocket. My only complaint would be that it's a bit more puffy than it looks on the model in the photo.

Cute but not functional
I ordered this coat to wear on a trip to Argentina last month. Although it's cute, it's not warm, at all. The first night it was in the 60s and I wore it with jeans, a scarf and a silk blouse thinking "I'm wearing a coat, I'll be fine." I wasn't fine. I was freezing. Because the coat isn't lined, it's essentially like wearing a long blazer. Another reviewer mentioned the coat is tight on the hips and she's right. This coat is probably better suited for a straighter body. Another reviewer said it wouldn't be warm enough for 40 degree weather, but I don't think it's warm enough for 60 degree weather. If you want to be warm, do not order this coat.

I purposely ordered the size small because I didn't want it to be tight or too short. But I suspect that the sweater may have shrunk from its original size because it fit like a too-small XS. It was also a bit on the itchy side, so I sent it back without wearing it.

This dress fit like a dream.
Unlike some of the other reviewers, I didn't find that this dress was difficult to dance or walk in at all. It's true that you can't wear a bra, but the dress holds you in quite nicely. I'd actually really like to buy it! I definitely recommend it!

Weird sleeves, narrow in the hip.
I wasn't crazy about this dress. There's something about the sleeves I wasn't crazy about and the fit is strange. It was fitted through the hip but loose up top. Also, I couldn't tell in the pictures but the fabric makes the dress not so day-time appropriate. The skirt is very short and I think i'd only wear this dress to a nightclub or a nighttime party. I wouldn't wear it to someone's shower or wedding. Overall, not impressed.

I wore this dress to a formal wedding.
I wasn't crazy about this dress at all, but I waited until the last minute and it was one of the only decent looking ones that were available in my size. The scalloped lace at the bust line is really annoying because it tends to fold down. On the right side it looked fine, but the left kept folding which made the bust line look uneven. That was really annoying. I made the mistake of over-estimating my size and ordered a 4R and a 6R. This happened because i'd ordered a couple of dresses the week before and felt they ran small. I typically wear a 2 in dresses, and forgot that Nicole Miller runs true to size. The 2R would have fit perfectly as the 4R kept slipping in the top and there was a lot of extra fabric. I'm somewhere between 5'3 and 5'4 and wore about 5 inch heels with a platform. Still, the dress was quite long and my heel kept getting stuck in the lace at the bottom. Keep that in mind when choosing a length. This dress is just okay. It's fine as a backup, but really is nothing to write home about.

Overall, i'd say this dress runs one size smaller than it is. I usually wear a 2, but I saw this dress ran small so I ordered a 4R which wasn't available. They sent me a 6R, and since it runs so small I could have made it work but the lace was torn in about 4 different places. I would have made it work yet, but one of the tears was quite large and on the right arm in a very visible place. So, unfortunately it went back and i'll have to shop my closet.

Unless you're tall, this dress isn't for you. I'm about 5'3 or 5'4 and the halter isn't adjustable, so the neckline came down too low on me. Also, the slit wasn't sexy at all because it fell halfway down my thigh. I definitely won't be wearing this dress, and unless you're 5'8 like some of the other wearers, you probably won't either.

I wore this dress to a charity fundraiser.
The conclusion I've come to is that bandage dresses are for girls that want to create more curves, because if you've already got curves these dresses can be uncomfortable. The fabric is very thick and the dress itself was very heavy. I was uncomfortable in it all night. I got many compliments on the dress and sure it made my body look good, but I wasn't happy in it. I don't think i'd wear another Herve again.
