I can't knock this dress. It's beautiful and looking at the pictures of all the girls who have rented it you can see it looks great on for most. I'm really small chested (like negative A here!) and pretty hippy (36" hips to my 30" top) and this dress amplified that, which I didn't like. My friends even commented that it just didn't suit my body type.

I have been oogling this dress for some time and finally had the black tie event to allow me to rent it. I must say the dress is even prettier in person than it is on the model. It looks a lot less "Elvira" and a lot more "Uber Sophisticated". I will say - rent the regular AND the long. They only had one size available for my night and I knew I needed a long so I got the XSL. I'm 5'7" and planned on wearing 4" heels. When I got the dress I was really disappointed because although the bag said XSL the dress itself was a regular : ( If it were a long it would have been the prettiest dress I've ever worn, but the regular was just plain too short. Without heels it showed my feet and with heels it almost showed my ankles. The style of this dress and the very long sleeves requires it (in my styling opinion) to be floor length for the full effect of the dress to work. So all in all I would recommend this dress, just make sure to get the right length! : )

I looked at this dress and the pictures and when I received it I felt it looked totally different - I expected a more casual material, but it's sheer and has gold sparkly dots. Now, that being said, the dress is pretty - don't get me wrong! I **would** recommend it for a bride to wear to her bridal shower **IF** you could lift your arms up while wearing it! I couldn't wear it because I was heading to dinner and when I put the dress on because the sleeves are connected to the back of the dress and because the wrists on the sleeves have no give YOU CAN'T RAISE YOUR ARMS ABOVE YOUR WAIST! I found the humor in it - but if someone had rented this for a special event and couldn't wear it because of this I'd be sad they weren't warned. I would not rent this again and would NOT recommend it to others. Well, unless you had an event where you planned on keeping your arms at your sides all night ; )

I wore this dress to the GLAAD Media Awards show in LA. I knew I needed something fashion forward and fun for the event and I couldn't have picked a better dress. I received countless compliments all night and I felt amazing in it. It fit perfectly for my no bust body type and because it is bigger on the bottom made my larger bottom not look so big. The dress is navy on top, not black like the picture and the only negative I would say is that the gold material was frayed a bit. You couldn't tell from a distance, but since it was frayed it did give the feel of a "worn" dress. Even with that minor critique - I would 100% recommend this dress to a friend!

I wore this to my husband's work party. I wanted to look beautiful, sexy - but not revealing or over the top. This dress was the perfect choice. I was disappointed when I received it although I could tell it was dry cleaned it smelled like cigarette smoke. I was able to let it air out outside of my home the evening before the even and it was wearable to the event. I contacted the RTR customer service and they were wonderful. Because of their great response and the fact that the dress was a great quality, I will certainly be renting again.
