Because this dress is all thigh and no breast! Fun dress - very light and comfortable. I could have gotten away with the size 10 but went with a 12 for the extra sleeve length. I did end up pinning the dress at the top of the thigh slit because it was a bit of a peep show otherwise. I also had to pin the back to hide my strapless bra - don't forget that the back is totally open!

Nice heavy fabric, but the dress wouldn't sit right; the shoulders sat more narrow than on the model's photo. This made the low-V buckle inward rather than being pulled tight across the bust. Just not flattering.

The sides were much more open than I expected them to be, and coupled with the open deep V front, it did feel a little exposed. But everything fit okay; I have a long torso and legs and it was fine. The color is awesome. I wore this for a seated dinner so it didn't have to stand up to dancing or anything.

This dress is crazy comfortable! I loved the look - it was very flattering without being too exposed. Think "lounge singer!" I wore with stick-on nipple covers for a smoother look, but the deep V was surprisingly snug to my breastbone - I didn't feel like I was at risk of anything flapping open or falling out, even with a little dancing I felt perfectly contained. The fabric is a little clingy around the hips and thigh - the shapewear I wore underneath was a bit visible, but that's what you get with this kind of dress! The fabric also definitely shows sweat - I had to excuse myself once or twice to dab some problem spots with paper towels, but it dried quickly and I was back out there in no time. Fun dress! The colors for the sequins are really rich and unusual; tough to match jewelry with but easy to match makeup. Tall girls rejoice - I'm 5'11" and this hit just a bit above the knee. The back really gives no way to wear a bra, and I didn't wear anything for support (38D), although admittedly my event didn't have dancing. I was planning on taping myself up but once I put the dress on, I didn't feel at risk of anything slipping out - the back is open but not the sides, and the texture of the sequins keeps anything "personal" from showing. The draped cowl back is not structured the way I expected - it's a separate sash of material, which looks a little silly on the hanger but I think is fine in person.
