I rented this dress for a black tie wedding in Florida. I wanted a classic black dress a Florida feel... It was perfect although being 5'2 the 0R was very long even with 4 inch heels, I almost stepped on it all night but it was fine, I just hiked it up dancing or walking longer distances. The hips/stomach area was a bit big and my strapless bra peeked out a bit from the top and under the top cut out but other than that the overall feel was just what I wanted! RTR is my go-to for black tie weddings for sure.

I have to thank RTR's stylists for saving the day on this one! I had ordered a different dress that was wayyyyy too short (I'm talking bum cheeks short) and freaked out late the night before my holiday party at work. One of the fabulous stylists got right back to me over email and prepared this dress to ship first thing in the am. It came in plenty of time for the party and it was even more beautiful in person! The length is short but totally appropriate and classy. The fabric is high quality and the color, though light, didn't wash me out. It runs a little big and the back didn't stay snug but that didn't bother me like I thought it would from reading other reviews. It was also perfect for the winter wonderland theme! One of my favorite rentals!!

It did not fit my frame as a petite girl - it was baggy and didn't sit right whereas someone with more curves would fill it out better. The RTR showroom in NYC was WONDERFUL and so helpful in finding me a new dress just 1 day before NYE :) Great customer service experience always, just not the dress for me...

To be honest, this dress wasn't my first choice. Mine was damaged during cleaning but I figured it wasn't meant to be so I went with it. I have to say the customer service was great and the stylist I worked with to pick out a new dress kept me from having a freak out two days before my event. My boyfriend loved loved the open back and and he kept saying how beautiful I looked. In fact, people came up to me through out the night (even in the bathroom) asking me about my dress, where I got it, who the designer was.. etc. Boy did I feel like a movie star!!! When it comes to the size, being a petite frame myself, it fit well, could have been a bit tighter, but being a little looser I think made it more elegant - I would say true to size. A great choice if you want a sexy yet classy dress for a formal event.
