I received this as my mystery bling for the dress I ordered. This is definitely not something I'd pick out on my own as the gems are rather large, but it really pulled the "glam" of the look together. I'd actually buy these for future looks - loved it.

I got this dress as my back-up dress to a black-tie optional wedding. When I saw it in the package I thought it would be the clear winner. And when I tried it on, I loved the way I looked in the mirror. My husband loved the look too: it is definitely very slimming and great if you're tall like me. Unfortunately the straps are really difficult to wear. They come up the front and then look around and connected right underneath my armpit for me. Besides being a little uncomfortable, if I didn't sit or stand perfectly straight and accidentally shrugged my shoulders, the entire dress came toppling down the front. Definitely not a great look, since you can't wear a traditional bra with this dress. I just needed the straps to be a couple of inches longer, or connect further down the side of the dress, and it may have worked (or maybe a strap across the back to connect the two sides). Maybe I just needed a larger size...I'm not sure. The dress itself fit fine - it was just the straps. I would strongly recommend lots and lots of fashion tape for this one - which you'll need some help from a friend to apply correctly. It's a bummer, because this dress is so beautiful.

I wore this to a black tie optional wedding that took place in March (early Spring, so the purple color was great). I'm 5'10" and the long wasn't available, but the regular worked just perfectly with 2.5" heels. I loved the high/low look, which was perfectly conservative for a wedding. While I felt beautiful in this dress, my husband preferred the other dress I ordered, as this one didn't really do much for my shape - although it felt fitted on me, the look was more "poofy" at the bottom. Again, perfectly acceptable for a more conservative event - just something to think about. I did have to remind myself to have great posture due to the open back. Also, I went bra-less for this dress. The print was gorgeous and not something I'd normally wear. I definitely stuck out in the sea of simple, plain dresses and had several people comment things like, "WOW!" and "You look absolutely stunning." I would rent this again if it was available in other prints - this dress is just too memorable to wear again to another event.

I wore this dress to my company's holiday party. I really wanted something that looked like it belonged with the holiday season but was conservative enough to wear around co-workers. This dress was a perfect compromise. I received compliments all night long. Overall, I would definitely recommend this dress if you're looking for something classy and chic. I found that this dress runs exactly true to size, and as such, I would recommend you get what you think your real size is then the next larger size you secretly hope you'll never have to wear. My real size fit me perfect and snug.
