Glad I read the reviews and got the 4 - it fit perfectly. The asymmetry was perfect and the blue is somewhere between Cobalt and Navy. It was looser in the waist than I expected, but moved beautifully. Was worried about the button on the neck holding for the night - the loop was definitely stretched out, but it ended up being ok. No bra needed and I didn't feel the need to pad the bust to fill it out.

Got this for a benefit gala. Originally ordered a small with no backup size only to find the XS available after I placed the order (RTR customer service was AMAZING in helping me get the backup). The dress was still loose on me in the waist and bust - no bra needed but I wore stick-on cups to fill it out a little more. The dress feels short because the lining falls shorter than the lace ruffle at the bottom but I never felt worried that anything would show - dancing proved that right. The lace on the high neck is not irritating at all and the contrast between the blue and black is stunning. Felt great in this dress and happy to be able to try wearing something I normally would think is too funky.

This is a looser fitting dress with beautiful red lace detail. I easily could have worn this to the office but it fit in perfectly at a Holiday party. You can wear your normal bra with this and it fell right to my knees. The lace was not itchy and I did not find the dress to hug tightly anywhere and the slightly nipped in waist have a gorgeous silhouette.

Wore this for a black tie wedding in CA. This is a beautiful blue fabric that was heavy enough to withstand a chilly night. The lace detail on top was different enough to make the dress interesting but not too revealing at all. I did have to wear stick-on bra cups to fill out the top so that it fit properly and nothing showed, but had I had a fuller chest, a bra would not be necessary. The waist and hips were fitted enough without feeling tight and I was able to dance easily in the dress. I wore 3" heels and the hem just grazed the floor. Got many compliments throughout the night - was very glad to choose this dress.

Rented a 2R as a back-up dress for a wedding I was attending. Opted not to wear it because husband preferred the other dress and it was a little chillier than expected. This dress is unique and gorgeous. The flowers on the skirt are blues and red and pink. The top is black with black applique flowers on it. The waist is definitely designed for an hourglass figure as it "nips in" quite sharply. I doubt I would have clasped it and the zipper would have held without it. The straps were a little loose, but not worrisome. A bra was definitely not needed, but I would have considered wearing a stick on bra to fill to top out a bit. I am definitely looking for a reason to wear this one again. Tried the dress on with 3" heels and it just barely hit the floor.

This was an easy to wear, beautiful The color is like a red wine which is beautiful with the lace detail. Straps are adjustable. The top was a little large on me, which was fixed wearing stick-on bra cups, but a bra would not be needed if you could fill it out. The waist was perfect for my hourglass figure and the length was perfect with 3" heels. The back of the dress just hit the floor and my toes just peeked out from the front. I didn't feel too exposed with the cut out and got many compliments.

Got this as a back up dress, and didn't end up needing it. The fabric is beautiful - black background with navy and silver. It is thicker, and does not have much give. I opted for a size 4 after reading the reviews, but this was definitely too large on me. A 2 would have suited, and a 0 may have fit as well. The 4 was large in both the bust and the waist for me. A padded bra made the bust area better, but the waist gaped. The dress would have been fine, but the other one I ordered was just better overall.

The waist is tight, but flattered my hourglass figure perfectly. The lining is boned to provide stability and no bra was needed. The dress did get hot while dancing, but I was able to move well. Received a 0L and a 2L. 2L had a black lining removed that was too tight in the 0L for me to wear (notified RTR about the difference and they were AMAZING to work with). Without the lining the 0L would have been perfect. After reading other reviews I'm glad I got a Long - with 3" heels the bottom just skimmed the floor. No belt included with either dress, but definitely not needed either. The bodice in the dress means you don't need a bra and the overall silhouette is elegant with a slightly drawn-in waist and slight hugging around the hips a tush. This dress was stunning .

This dress was a perfect modern version of a classic black dress. The cut outs are unique and tasteful and allow for wearing a strapless bra if you want. The slit fell just above my knee and was perfect for walking and dancing. The bottom had great movement all night. Fabric has just enough stretch to be conforming to the body without being uncomfortable. I am 5'5" and wore 3"heels and the bottom of the dress just hit the floor. You will love this dress!

This is a great dress! The actual color is almost a rusty copper and there is definitely sparkle. A 0 was a little tight, but a 2 was not available as a back-up size for my time period. The dress has a little stretch, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to zipper it up, but once I did, it didn't feel tight at all. The skirt had the perfect volume and was a great length. I wore this with no bra and was not at all worried about any mishaps. I received many compliments and I would definitely wear this again.
