Black-tie Wedding in Girdle-free Comfort
Initially, i wanted to avoid wearing black to the wedding (a black-tie affair) but when the colorful dress i planned to wear became unwearable, i quickly ordered this from my Favorites list at RTR. It arrived just in time. It was perfect. Especially liked that, because of the all-over and very-forgiving ruching, no menopausal bulges showed around my foundation garments and no girdle was needed. The dress struck all the right notes for what i wanted in an age-appropriate style—long sleeves, long midi length, no slits, no cut-outs, and still had all the verve to be form-fitted fashionable with no dowdy. The cons were minor: sleeves were a bit too long, the garment tag scratchy. All in all, a beautifully constructed dress, quality through and through.

Rehearsal Dinner Perfection
Received compliments from family and friends, even the younger generation. Something fun but conservative, this dress fit the bill with its bright colors and simple cut. It was comfortable to wear, and though form-skimming, it was not binding. At this certain age, i want sleeves and midi-length without looking matronly. Mission accomplished.

A Beautiful Dress For A Beautiful Evening!
And i felt beautiful with the added bonus of not being trussed up in girdles or other uncomfortable undergarments. The criss-crossed fabric around the torso camouflaged those post-menopausal bulges with ease. The small size fit, but i opted for the medium as it was a bit looser. Received many compliments from other wedding guests (from both men and women, young and old). Be the Lady in Red for your next event—you won’t be sorry in this lovely confection of a dress! (Note: be careful with jewelry and bag, i was afraid the fabric might pick. Altho none was apparent, i was cautious nonetheless.)

Add Some Pizazz
Wore this lightweight, unlined jacket to my husband's corporate dinner out with customers. Wanted to add a dash of color since i am so fair complected and didn't have time to get a spray tan. I normally wear a 2, so was surprised the 40 fit just fine. A 38 would have been too small. Delighted to wear this designer without the high price tag!

Lots of Compliments!
Worn to a country western concert put on for a corporate event in Las Vegas, had just the right bling. I wore it unzipped and the fit was great. Especially nice that the sleeves were just the right length for a taller person. A quality piece all around for fit and appearance. So nice to hear positive comments about it from other guests.

Prepare to be Noticed!
I usually prefer sleeves, but this dress is so wonderful that i felt confident without them. The fit was perfect with plenty of give in the fabric; it looked great throughout the many hours the event demanded. I wore a stick-on backless bra to get a smooth line in back. The form-fitting nature of the dress helped hold it in place and was secure all night. This dress is both comfortable and chic, but should come with a Warning: Do not wear unless you are prepared to be noticed everywhere you go!

Wow! What a dress!
This dress has an understated elegance, worn to a daytime charity banquet. When evaluating it online at RTR, i was concerned the asymmetrical cut-out might make it unsuitable for day wear, but i took a chance and am so glad i did. The cutout wasnt so daring to preclude it for my purpose. Instead, it added just the right touch of fashion detail to an otherwise conservative look. Altho i normally wear a 2, it didnt fit properly but the 0 was perfect. Loved the body-skimming fit. There were only 2 cons: the back slit was higher than preferred, and it wrinkled a bit after sitting for a few hours. It wasnt like a knit that falls out once standing. The wrinkles stayed, but while disappointing, i didnt think they took anything significant away from the overall look. I felt so confident in this dress and would rent it again.

The process to rent is seamless and easy.
This is a fantastic dress but unfortunately I couldn't wear it. The material wouldn't lay flat at the bustline/straps in front. It's not a flaw with the dress--i just couldn't fill it out being somewhat flat chested. Otherwise the fit was spot on so i don't think going a size smaller would have worked for me.

Cute Clutch
This clutch is unusual. One side is pave crystals, the other is black patent leather. The clasp has gold hardware, the body has silver. It is elongated in size. But it was just the right style for a western-themed wedding where some came dressed up, and others dressed down. The size is just right too. It fit easily on the dinner table without being in the way while still holding all my essentials, including my iphone, with room to spare.

Exceptional Customer Service
I didn't wear this dress sent as a back-up when my original selection became unavailable at the last minute. I normally wear a 2 or 4 but this size 40/2 was just a bit too snug through the shoulders/chest area, causing a slight unsightly bulge near my upper arms. However, it is a beautiful dress, exquisitely cut and tailored by the fabulous Narciso Rodriguez. The online pictures do not do it justice. In real-life this dress reflects taste, class, and understated luxury. Many thanks to RTR stylist Lauren who helped me with my order. My original selection became unavailable through no fault of RTR when it was returned in unwearable condition by the previous renter. When RTR couldn't get a hold of me to make another choice, Lauren stepped in and sent me not one but two dresses for my event, both similar to my original choice. And then on top of that, RTR would have allowed me to substitute any dress they had regardless of price. But since I could not be reached, Lauren took care of everything, making sure something fabulous arrived in time. RTR handled the entire order with much aplomb, doing everything in their power to effect a successful outcome. That is some exceptional customer service.

Wow. What. A. Dress.
It hugged every curve with exquisite tailoring. The fabric is beautiful, soft, and comfortable with stretch that conforms perfectly to your body's shape w/o binding. Not readily noticable in pictures, this dress has a little sheer "cowl" detail in the front at the V. The cowl isn't low-cut per se but I wore a lower-cut black bra because I could see my regular nude one peeking out a bit when viewed at certain angles. Spanx "Bootyful" hose were necessary for me as well, needing the lift and tuck they afford when wearing such a form-fitting dress. It is also completely lined (but I did not have any issues with the lining showing at the hem as some others have reported). I would rent this "Look At Me Now" dress again but go one size up. The 2 was just a hint too snug for me. Love that the dress was knee-length and that my back was completely covered too--at this time in my life, the 50s, I want both fashionable and conservative. This dress fit the bill. Many thanks to RTR stylist Lauren who helped me with this order. My original selection became unavailable at the last minute having been returned in unwearable condition by the previous renter. Lauren had to find a substitute dress when I couldn't be reached to choose one myself. She did a fabulous job, sending me not one but two alternative dresses at no additional charge. Everything was managed with exceptional customer service.

Easter Sunday festivities
This lady-like Carmen Marc Valvo fit and flare dress was perfect for Easter Sunday activities, going from church to party. Its modest style boasts a high neckline and a lower hem (just at knee length) but was attractively fitted thru the bodice. It did wrinkle somewhat both in travel and while wearing but not enough to spoil the look. In size, i normally choose a 4 first but it was the 2 that fit best in this case.

Colorful and comfortable
I needed something suitable for an informal outdoor wedding. This Kate Spade dress has a lovely fit and flare style that made my waist look slim without binding. The square neckline was a bit lower than expected so i had to wear my lowest cut bra to prevent anything from showing. But that solution worked well and i never felt uncomfortable or exposed. The bright colors on the black background made it easy to accessorize with my black shoes, wrap and purse. The dress traveled well and didn't wrinkle. As for sizing, i usually wear a 4 but the 2 fit best in this case. It fell to just a hint above the knee. And loved it had pockets, too!

A barrage of compliments
I wasn't prepared for all the compliments i rec'd on this dress! I picked it because it covered me from my neck to my knees, needing modesty for a corporate evening event. However it is also fashionably form-fitting (w/o being overtly sexy) and it was obviously a hit judging from all the positive feedback. The size 4 fit well except around the neck which had to be pinned tighter to keep it from sagging. It is true the sleeves could be tight if your arms aren't small but this wasn't an issue i had. The dress was a thin material, was comfortable, and didn't wrinkle even after being seated for several hours. I wouldn't hesitate to rent it again.

Ease of process
I was going for a look of subtle elegance in a simple black dress for a gala, and this little Judith Leiber clutch lent just the right amount of sparkle to the effort. It is a beautifully made evening bag and held all my essentials despite its seemingly small size. This included my iPhone, lipstick, eyedrops, mini compact, 2 slim makeup brushes, tissue, 2 credit cards, ID, room key and cash. One night i carried it as a clutch and the next wore it over the shoulder using its detachable long silver chain. This was my first RTR experience--the entire process was smooth as silk and i look forward to renting more fabulous finds in the future.
