I rented this for my engagement party. It in fact looked so stunning, I had friends tell me to own the runway, not rent it. Long and true story short, the Ivory version of this from Solace London is the base layer for my wedding dress. It's that amazing. Just get the right sticky bra and you're in business!

I wore this to a formal wedding upstate and it was dazzling. I love that this has pockets large enough to fit an iphone 6plus, cigs, lip balm... I pretty much abandoned my clutch and rolled with the pockets. I am a tomboyish, small-waisted (saggy) DD, with a long torso, no hips, zero butt, and short meaty legs... yet, this gown was remarkably flattering. It minimized my bust and made me look so tiny and hourglass. I was able to sticky bra my top which kept everything in place, but didn't have to use fashion tape or dreaded shape wear. I was nervous about sizing, and sized up to a 6 by the recommendation, which I swam in. (Worth mentioning I dropped 50lbs last year and have no idea what my size is) I wish I had tried the 2R maybe for vanity, but the 4R fit perfectly and was a great length with a 2.5" heel. The material was thick and lined and kept everything in, but gave structure to the full high-low skirt. Also, it was chilly and raining and partially outdoors, but I never was too hot or too cold. The flounce of the skirt was just right, enough movement it didn't make me look like I was hiding a paunch, yet would have been equally flattering if I were! Originally when I tried it on at the flagship, I was worried about some bulging by the arms due to my bra, but the gentleman gave me a suggestion to gently pull the straps from my traps toward my shoulders, and that's all it took for it to fit like a glove. I received so many compliments from so many people- ranging from older relatives of the couple, to friends who work, live & breathe fashion in NYC. So that felt very nice. I usually rent infrequently in secret and never review, so I hope this is testament to how awesome this gown was. Overall, another major win thanks to RTR!!!
