Comfortable date night dress
I'm 5'10. 160lbs. curvy in the hips/butt. I wore the 8R very comfortably... almost with room to spare bc the tightest part is right under the bust line/at ribs. Low/deeper cut cross in bust line and I pinned it closed to comfort. Wonderful that you can wear a regular bra, though and eat a meal comfortably without feeling constricted. The dress is very forgiving on the lower half. Nice and flowy. Great for transitional weather. Pretty pattern too. Hubs liked it!

Felt great in this!
First off, this is a beautiful and unique dress. It has a lot of texture in the fabric. That said, the first thing I noticed is that my specific dress was starting to show signs of some fraying and wear. Just feel like this one skimmed by quality control checks. Love RTR but gotta start getting a bit more picky about when dresses should be retired. Stretching and fraying goes against what you are offering your customers. Apart from that, this dress will not disappoint. I'm typically a 10 but also can't stand feeling like I'm squeezed into a nice dress... don't want to be pulling down at it all night. As others have said, fitted and no give. I went with the 12. Nice on the hips, a bit larger in the stomach and bust. I'm 5'10, 160, athletic but curvy. Not quite a pear but not straight up and down either. Love this neckline. Overall I felt comfortable and lovely in a classy way. You won't be disappointed in this dress

Not bad
Wore this for a party. I'm pretty athletic in the shoulders but I always feel this is a flattering neckline for me. I'm 5'10 so it felt a bit short in the torso and even a touch limiting for that same reason to move my arms around, ie the shirt would hike up. Nice quality material and lined. Overall nice fun, flirty shirt. If you're athletic or tall like me, or very large busted may want to try a size up.

If only...
If only these weren't such an odd fitting pant. The print is fun and vibrant. I wore them for a more casual masquerade party, so they fit the theme wonderfully. I'm typically a 10 in pants. As others have written, even the size up (12) was overly tight in the thigh but gaping in the waste. I hiked them as high as I could bc my shirt covered that area but then of course the crotch was pulling. Otherwise the crotch would've been at my knees if I put the natural waste of the pant in its place. I made them work bc I had no other choice but I detest feeling fidgety and uncomfortable about what I'm wearing. It almost ruins my evening. :(

Beautiful Color
This dress was A LOT more tight fitting than I was expecting. I'm hippy... so the 10 was very tight but the 12 was better on the lower half leaving the top just a bit too loose for me. Spanx were absolutely necessary for me but then there's the awkwardness of the thigh slit in the front. So it demands a higher level of the spanx on the slit side while you still need to bring the other side down past the break of the material in order to avoid a visible spanx line on your thigh. A sexy dress though and beautiful color. Still got compliments but just didn't feel all that comfortable in it all night.

Pure Glamour!!!
I wore this for a black tie event. Tons of compliments. I wear both medium and large in dresses depending on their fit... can't imagine how I would've squeezed myself in a medium. I'm 5'10, 164lbs, 36C, larger hips. The fit is so stretchy that you'd be smart to size up versus down, especially for the sake of walking and movement. I wore a basic corset low back bra without it showing at all. The slit in the back is a little revealing of the spanx. I felt amazing in this dress, perfect mix of sexy and class. my favorite rental thus far. Wonderful hourglass enhancing dress.

Felt beautiful!
This dress just hugs in all the right places! I felt comfortable, beautiful and sexy! What more could you ask for in a formal gown. I wore capri length shapers underneath to smooth everything out but the lace nicely camouflages any seams those might leave. The color is gorgeous. I am 5'10" and wore around 2-3" heels and had just about the right length (maybe just a bit too much) with the 10L.

Wish I could have worn it
As many other people have written in their reviews, there is something screwy with the sizes that RTR has listed for this dress. Following the lead of other people's size conversions in their reviews, I ordered the 44 and 46 (assuming/hoping I was really ordering a 10 and 12). Like it so often happens with sheath dresses and my body (smaller size on top than in the hips/bum), the 10 (44) was too small and snug around the hips but the 12 (46) was huge in the upper body section and the bottom half was really too large as well as leaving this pooch of fabric at the lower back section right above my bum. Length would have been great for a wedding though, and I am 5'10". The fabric was a nice cotton with a sheen, along with a liner (always makes the look so much nicer). Color was beautiful. Just be forewarned about the size issue!

Just the right amount of sex appeal
As others have written, the slip and the dress may be totally different sizes, ie the slip runs small. The slip does not stretch as much as the actual dress, so I ordered the M and L with the possibility that I may need the larger slip. That is exactly what happened, bc there was no squeezing into that M slip! The large dress fit fine too, except for a little more baggy in the arms, but the dress's stretch is forgiving. The M did ride a little bit, but I am sensitive to how much leg I show. Otherwise, I felt incredible in it...classy and sexy without showing TOO much!

Beautifully made, but runs large, is very sheer and arrived without the sash.
I rented this in hopes of wearing it for a vineyard wedding..in the midst of a rather unseasonably warm southern spring. It looked light and airy...well it was. It is very sheer and overall a larger fit. One of the reasons I liked it so much is because it looked forgiving on the bottom half. I would definitely size down on this one and you will need a slip and some fashion tape. Unfortunately, it arrived without the sash and there was really no way I could do without it...so I just ended up wearing something from my own wardrobe. Better luck next time. And, really I try to stay away from the dresses that look like they are supposed to come with and/or be worn with a sash because it seems like that might be RTRs only weak link. Still, the customer service through the process was flawless as usual. There is no question RTR aims to please! So, sash or no sash, it won't stop me from renting.
