I read through a ton of the reviews for this dress before deciding to rent it for my Valentine's dinner date, and they were spot on. I normally wear size 10 - got a 10 and the 8 as my backup size (since there were notes that the dress ran big). The 8 fit me well, but I ended up wearing the 10 because I knew I would be eating and I wanted the extra length (it's a short dress and I'm a tall-ish girl). The dress was gorgeous and very comfortable. Covered up the armpit fat, wasn't too tight around the belly, but was still form-fitting in the right places. Definitely recommend this for any occasion where you want to stand out from other black dresses and where you want to be comfortable to move. Only downside was the length - it hiked up pretty high while I was sitting and is definitely not a dress I would recommend wearing for dancing or bending over (unless you have short legs).

The dress fit really well and looked great - I got a ton of compliments! The fabric was somewhat stretchy, which was nice because you didn't feel like you were spilling out as you ate/drank throughout the night. The see-through empire waist added a hint of sexy without being too revealing. The only thing I didn't love was how thick the sleeves were on my shoulders - I highly doubt anyone else noticed though. Overall, a great fit and very pleased with the quality/fit!
