First, let me say that I loved the dress, and it perfectly matched a pair of YSL yellow platform heels that I was dying to wear but nothing matched. I am now a solid size 4, and due to the other reviews, I chose the size 4 and size 2. The 4 was so hard to zip up at first that I thought I was in trouble. Turns out, the zipper was just really worn out at the waist, and it was fine! Which brings me to point two - I was hesitant to rent the dress due to the price, but it was the only dress available that I was confident would go with those shoes. When I received the dress, the skirt was wrinkled, and it looked like it was ready for retirement. As I said, the zipper was worn, and the fabric and white color no longer looked new. It was a beautiful dress and I got a lot of compliments, but I thought the rental price was a bit high for the quality. For reference, this was my sixth dress I have rented or purchased from RTR, and it was by far the most worn looking.

I rented this as an option for my husband's holiday party - which was at a casino. I had been eyeing this dress for awhile - I run a lot and have nice legs, so I thought a short number with long sleeves would be the perfect balance for a work event. The dress was a little big - I had just had a baby and wasn't sure on the size - so it looked a little too frumpy. I also thought there'd be a greater balance between the black and gold sequins, but the gold really stood out. In the end, I went with a different, though similar dress I rented.

I rented this dress for my husband's post-holiday party. I loved the concept of renting a dress but was skeptical because I am petite ( 5'1") and almost always must have a dress hemmed. I typically wear a 6 or 8 petite so I ordered the size 8 and chose the 6 for my free alternate size. While the size 6 would have been perfect for a night out, it was a little too tight for a work event, so I went with the size 8, which had a little more room in the hips and bust. The sleeves are a knit material so they easily adjusted to my shorter arms, and the hem fell about two inches above the knee. A great find and I was really happy with my experience!
