Highly recommend this dress. I wear a size 8 normally and usually go up in dresses. The 46L (10) was not available so I had to go with the 44L (8). It was snug under the arms and I probably could have gone up a size - but it worked. I have love handles so I wore Spanx highwaisted tights and the dress looked great. No zippers on the dress so wait to put on foundation. I curled my hair before putting the dress on, and then carefully slipped it on. I am 5'6 and would recommend a long for anyone between lengths. My heels were about 3 inches. Overall very comfortable - I wore it for 12 hours!
